If using reward points make sure it's changed to the discounted price before you use your rewards
I really don't have anything bad to say about GoodRx. But today's experience is making me question. I have been with GoodRx since 2022 and they have been a life saver. Today I submitted a refill on my medicine and the goodRx price was $46.56. And because I'm a rewards member I had 48,000 points which equaled $48.00 cash that I chose to use on my medicine today. When I got to the pharmacy the medicine priced at $81.27. When I showed my goodrx card they said my payment would be $33.27. When I showed them the price in the app the pharmacy said I will have to contact goodrx. Upon calling in my call was disconnected 3x's. But when you first start off they ask what's a good number so if you get disconnected they can call you back. No one did. I had to call them back every time. On the last call the rep spoke with the pharmacy to try to get them to change the manufacturer number but they only get this medicine from one company. So I was told by GoodRx that they could call around to different pharmacies until they found one that took this specific manufacturer otherwise I had to pay the additional $33.27. My issue is if I wasn't using my rewards points the price would have been $46.56. Even if that original price of 81.27 was there once the pharmacy go in put the code information in then it changes the price to the discounted price. It wouldn't even let them change the info before it just snatched up my reward money. Where does it say that in order to use rewards you have to use a specific manufacturer to get the GoodRx price and use your rewards. So in actuality I still paid the $81.27. I'm so disappointed
