Angelee, who owns Deseret Peak Goldens, was fantastic to work with. We love Bessie, our Golden Retriever puppy. She’s very gentle and loving. Thank you so much,Angelee. You picked the perfect dog for us.

Good Dog used to be great until they got greedy. They are charging a lot of money for the seller and buyers to sell/buy puppies on their site. They want a good chunk per puppy. It's horrible. We breed show AKC quality Pomeranians and a huge group of us dumped them.

Hi Monica, Thank you for reaching out. Although we understand that you have not been a member of our community since April, we’re happy to share more information about the recent changes we made to our pricing structure for breeders in September. With this change, when we've done the work of connecting a Good Dog breeder with a Good Dog buyer and they decide to place one of their pups with them, there will be a 6.5% deduction applied to the deposit (if they have one) and dog payments with that buyer. We're committed to building a stronger, more sustainable platform for all our breeders, and this pricing structure helps ensure our services remain viable long-term. We understand that in April, our Compliance Team let you know about the information we’d need to receive in order to re-evaluate your program, in line with our Standards. Should you wish to rejoin Good Dog in the future, we ask that you reach out with the previously requested information, and we’d be happy to re-evaluate your program. We continue to wish you and your program all the best. -The Good Dog Team

This site is not at all what it seems. They try to match you up with a breeder but they really want to sell you all the "extras". Also, they put very strict regulations on some breeders (competition breeders that prove their dogs are worth breeding) and do not require it from back yard breeders. Just a sham and unreliable.

Hi Alayne, Thank you for reaching out. We’re glad that a member of our team has already been able to connect with you and share more information about our Community Standards, Good Breeder Code of Ethics, and Policies, and how they may apply to an individual breeding program. As they mentioned, all programs that are recognized on Good Dog must meet our Community Standards, Code of Ethics, and Policies (linked below), and may be subjected to periodic audits to ensure that our Community Standards are upheld and enforced fairly. -https://www.gooddog.com/standards-and-screening -https://www.gooddog.com/breeder-code-of-ethics -https://www.gooddog.com/good-breeder-center/good-dog-article-toc#good-dog-policies We understand that our Compliance Team let you know about the licensing and certification we’d need to receive from you, in order to maintain compliance with our Good Breeder Code of Ethics. Should we receive the necessary documentation, our team would be happy to reevaluate your program. We understand that not everyone will agree with our approach, but we know that you, as a dog breeder, are working very hard and that you have a breeding program to be proud of. We continue to wish you all the best. Kind Regards, The Good Dog Compliance Team

Good Dog started out decent! They continually asked breeders for their opinion to help build their current platform! Despite breeders being the ones to make GoodDog the platform it is today they have decided that on top of their fees they charge buyers now they want to tack on 6.5% of EVERY PUPPY SOLD for breeders to pay! Not per litter PER PUPPY and what do they really do???? They have become extremely greedy and their answer is to jack our prices up! Despite all the fees/taxes breeders already have!!! Not to mention the quality of breeders they let join has tanked! Shame on you Good Dog! Also, no need to write a reply explaining your 6.5% price hike for introducing a buyer to a breeder! No matter what is in the policy that isn’t worth taking 6.5% for each puppy away from my dogs and family! Update: they send me the following response after I clearly stated no need to reply explaining your 6.5% price hike! Get it together! People don’t want to hear generic responses!

Hi Sara, Thank you for reaching out! We see that a member of our Good Dog Specialist team reached out to you to help you through this situation on October 4th. With these changes to our pricing structure, when we've done the work of connecting you with a Good Dog buyer and you decide to place one of your pups with them, there will be a 6.5% deduction applied to the deposit (if they have one) and dog payments with that buyer. Since we know this is a change, breeders in our community will receive one free deposit payment and one free final dog payment, so you can see firsthand how this change will work without any cost to you. We're committed to building a stronger, more sustainable platform for all our breeders, and this pricing structure helps ensure our services remain viable long-term. You can learn more about this change to our pricing structure here: https://www.gooddog.com/good-breeder-center/good-dogs-path-forward-new-pricing-structure We hope that we were able to help turn your experience into a positive one, but if you have any more questions, please feel free to reply directly to the email we previously sent, or give us a call at 855-446-6336. We look forward to hearing back from you and are always here to support you! Warmly, -The Good Dog Team

They say they don’t discriminate but apparently they do. We worked hard. To follow their rules and comply to get all their badges, all of dog were health tested, etc. we made them a lot of money. All of a sudden our bulldogs had to big of ropes and they deleted us and said compliance team made that decision. Our bulldogs are healthy and with nice AKC approved ropes not overdone, while approving breeders with fluffy pugs and other mixed breeds. It’s really sad because we thought they were good at first but they don’t play fair! You ask them to review and they say we can’t for 6 months and if we get rid of our male that supposedly has a big rope, the puppies produced by him also which we showed them many examples of also do not have big ropes. Seems like their priorities are not in order.
