Tried to join as a breeder and they wanted me to get x rays of my dogs, health testing done, ect, when I know several people with different breeds who use Good Dog that did absolutely NO heath testing and are selling their pups on that site and that Good Dog did not require them to get health tests. Good Dog is biased and is a JOKE! In that case they need to make every single breeder health test their dogs, not just mine because of the breed!!!!!!!! I know for a fact they don't make every breeder HEALTH TEST! But they want me to go spend 1k on heath testing before they will approve my profile but got tons of breeders on there site selling puppies with no health test WHATSOEVER!

Good Dog is great at marketing and advertising my puppies, but they take hefty commissions from both breeders and buyers with each part of the payment process (deposit and final payment) I as a breeder prefer committed buyers and filter out the scammers which this site does a good job with, but have to give up some of the income for it which already is on the smaller side for breeders who do all testing and vet visits and quality feeding. Only way to go is mark up your puppy with the amount of Good Dog’s commission, and inevitably lose some buyers in the process. Ultimately, all my puppies of last litter placed through Good Dog and have found wonderful loving homes.

Impossible to get a human being if you have a question just a "cutesy" message and leave a message and they never call back. Horrible website if you need to find any information that they don't have a specific link for. I really liked the breeder and puppy she sold me, but gooddog itself is absolutely worthless.

I have been using Good Dog for over a year. I found myself impressed with the ease of the application process and accepting payments. That is until recently. Good Dog recently implemented a 6.5% service fee to the sell price of EACH puppy for a breeder. On top of that, Good Dog also charges the buyer the same fee PER puppy! These fees are completely insane!!! Breeders and Buyers BEWARE!! Stick with AKC marketplace!

Seven weeks ago, I lost Bella, my best friend of 13.5 years. As all dog lovers are aware, the pain was and still is overwhelming. I still have moments when I cry and long to just hug her one more time. After several weeks, my family started pushing me to adopt a puppy. I was not replacing Bella, because nothing could replace her in my heart or soul. But to provide another sweet animal with a safe and happy home complete with all the love they deserve. I decided I would look for a collie puppy but had no clue or knowledge of what I was looking for. After reaching out to several recuse sites and either getting no response or finding out the puppies were not located locally (800 to 1,500 miles away), not to mention the agency could not provide any background information. Additionally, I heard horror stories of how these animals were transported across the country. Unfortunately, by the time your dog arrived, they could have picked up numerous illnesses from other animals that had not had all their vaccinations or worming. Since we still have an older dog with cancer I couldn’t take that chance. I started looking at Good Dog. I checked the site reviews, read about several breeders, and found Abra Karhan, the owner of Desert Kennels. I quickly inquired about one of her collie pups, , and she called me within an hour to talk about the puppy. She was warm, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable in her role as a breeder, and an overall dog lover. After figuring out she was 1,610 miles away, I just about gave up. However, Abra did not give up, and spent her entire Sunday researching how to get this sweet puppy to me. She understood my concerns and did everything she could to assure me she cared about her puppies getting a safe and happy home. Most people would have just hung up and said so sorry, good luck, and moved on. Not Abra! She worked diligently to make it possible for this little girl to find a happy and loving home. She secured safe passage on Alaska Airlines, made sure the puppy had all her shots, worming, etc., and sent me all pertinent medical records, testing, as well as the vet contacts to make this adoption smooth and flawless. On October 16, we drove to Raleigh and picked up our little fluffy ball of joy. Additionally, Abra has continuously stayed in touch with me as a great resource while I am potty training Greta. I would strongly recommend if anyone is looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, honest, and safe breeder, you should check out Abra’s website (Desert Kennels). She far exceeds any expectations that I had when I started my search.

Mostly an easy to use site, first puppy listed and sold… now to figure out how to receive the money it shows paid and new owner claims she paid… I requested help via a phone message and email…still waiting for help

I bought a puppy from Paula Perkins kennel stay away she does not update her pic or info. I got the puppy which was expensive for that dog. The Australian Shepard is not very smart he eats his own crap and was really under weight and was getting sick all the time.When I would ask questions at first the woman got hostile. And would not return my money so, I was forced to keep the dog. I don't believe he is a full blooded Australian Shepard. Sincerely Be careful with Good dog

What went wrong was the breeder "who prioritizes the health of the pet" under their banner is selling dogs with health problems. Namely Giardia. And when asked about the dogs having the runs their "responsible good" Bryce Canyon Kennels who has the"best interests" of both the animal and new owners the breeder said no problem its stress from trip and the worming, well three out of the carfull of puppies were sick not stressed. When Gooddog was informed i got an email that said the wanted to know what was up and theyed call and find out. 4 days later only 2texts saying how they don't have the time to talk yet. That says they don't really care about the welfare of the animal or the selling of ill untreated animals. Too bad, The animals health and welfare should always come first not the sale or The breeder. And I'm not expecting money back and I'm not returning dog i just don't want breeders to continue selling bad dogs to unsuspecting new Owners UPDATE *** I have since been in contact with other littermate owner and they had their issue fixed. Breeder took care of issues that we both had. With the exception of the one issue shes a great dog and i couldn't be happier now that all is fixed with pup.
