Forced me to contact my instructor
I'll admit that the reason I was in this situation was completely my fault. There are two classes, same course, different teachers, and I accidentally registered for the wrong teacher's exam (to be fair, both of their last names start with K). Once I connected with the proctor, he was having trouble entering in the exam password. I realized it was because I registered for the wrong exam, so I told him what was going on and that I'm sorry for wasting his time, I'll just register for the correct one. He did not like this. He kept telling me to enroll in the correct class, which I told him was impossible this late into the semester, not to mention unnecessary. He then INSISTED I contact my instructor. I asked him why I needed to do that, and he gave me some vague "let him know of the situation so he may enroll you into the exam" answer. I told him I don't see the need to do that. So I opened a new tab, went on proctoru, and tried to register for the correct exam. Right before I pressed the button to schedule the exam, the proctor took my control away from the mouse, clicked out of the tab, and told me that I do not need to be on proctoru, that I need to contact my instructor. Out of pure frustration, I typed out an email to my instructor, basically saying that I was being forced to email him by my proctor. I felt like I had a gun to my head. He would not stop insisting I contact him, and I didn't want to be too combative that he himself contact my school. After I sent it, proctor asked me what the instructor said. I told him that he hadn't responded yet, and proctor said "OK, you may register for a new exam now!" WHAT???? That whole situation was in a span of an hour and a half. He was SO unhelpful, seemed he didn't even know what to do, and spoke terrible English (I really don't care how well people speak English, it's none of my business, but it was clear his vocabulary was NOT developed enough to be helping someone whose first language is English). I'm absolutely Not looking forward to taking more exams in the future with proctoru. I wish that they wouldn't outsource their proctors. The language barrier was too much.
