Recently the school I work at has started using ProctorU. Initially it sounded like a great idea. Looking more into it, it seemed more invasive but it still made sense to me. Exam week comes and 2 of the students ended up having what seemed like a panic attack.

Worst experience ever. Please Nasm do not use this program for your students!!

desastrous service they ask 300 bugs for not delivering any service, i was connectet for more han 6 hhours with about 8 different guys from the support team and their only solution was - after already trying with two different computer - to try with a 3rd one. unacceptable

Hi Y'all I use Proctor U for Thomas Edison State University- TESU. A quick background, I moved with my family this past summer to Colombia from New Jersey because of my mom's job. Online school is the only way I can finish college and graduate within the time that I am here (2 years) so that I don't have to wait until I move back to the States. I really like Proctor U. It truly is not that bad for me, although it can get a little annoying when they ask to show the four corners of the room. I am giving 4 stars because I received an email from them one time when my computer turned off by accident in a middle of an exam saying that if my computer turned off again and if I was not near my wifi router that they will cancel my exam- which I think was a little over the top (It was my fault though that my computer turned off, I probably hit something by accident- I did get to finish the rest of my exam though, which was cool- all of that happened in November, and thankfully, I have not had an experience like that so far). My last proctor- for my African American History Final- was very nice and thoughtful because he asked me if I wanted to save something before he shut down everything, which is what they don't usually do. I have had some connection issues, but that is also on me because my wifi can be a little problematic at times. In all, I really don't have anything too bad to say about it, just that it could be a little annoying at times. They don't ask me to take my posters down off of my wall, or anything like that. They just ask me to take books off of the desk I take the test on, which is the usual. My one tip is to take scheduling exams early very seriously because they don't usually like to schedule someone out of the blue- and a lot of problems occur when that happens (I usually schedule my exam in the first week of my classes)- and schedule the exam at a time where you know you will be most awake and attentive. I have accommodations for my exams because of my learning disability which usually allows me extra time on the exams because I have to read everything through before I can answer and submit my exam- well one time I scheduled an exam for 3:00 pm and did not get out until nearly 6 pm, and by then I was tired, as I am not a night person. I am never scheduling an exam at 3 pm again lol. In all, Proctor U is alright with me. It was scary for me at first, but after I gave it a chance, it was pretty cool. All of the proctors have been fairly nice to me and have not given me any trouble-thank God. I am just glad I have a place to complete my exams because, without it, I could not continue my college career during this time. I hope this was useful. Be safe out there guys.

has anyone had problems with submitting after finishing the exam? I did a 3 hr exam and at the end there was no submit tab the invigilator took control and just closed it out my whole 3 hrs of exam was lost.

Horrible!!! I was scheduled to take the test on a Thursday logged in proctoru wouldn’t work. Spoke to customer service rescheduled for Sunday. Logged on tried to take my exam at 12pm still not working I’ve spoken to representatives and no one was able to help. Horrible I will be contacting ETS to let them know if the issue with proctoru.

I had to use ProctorU for my online medical biochemistry class through the University of New England (CHEM 1005). I had to use two times; for my midterm and final exam. BOTH times I used ProctorU, I had MAJOR issues. First, for the midterm exam, it took my proctor 30 minutes to set my computer up and I believe that reflected my grade for the midterm exam. It was by NO means a smooth process WHATSOEVER. My final exam was scheduled for today, 7/15/20 at 3:50pm and I did not end up taking the exam until 5:20pm. ProctorU kept on transferring me to different proctors, connecting to me and then disconnecting to me, and had me sit and wait to take my exam. This INFURIATED me because I knew with my experience last time that this would reflect my grade, which it did. It took about an hour and a half from when I logged in to take my exam until when I actually took it. As a student, it is extremely stressful preparing for an exam and having the anxious feeling of waiting to take it. Especially for this class at it is EXTREMELY difficult and challenging, I was obviously anxious to take the exam despite having prepared for a week for it. I am just extremely disappointed in Proctor U and its services and truly believe that my wait time affected my grade for both the midterm and final exam. I do NOT recommend ProctorU to anybody. There are NO benefits to using this platform. I would give it ZERO stars if I were able to.
