General Motors does NOT care if their products don’t work.
General Motors does NOT care if you bought one of their cars and it has endless problems, as long as you paid for it. Brand new truck...first the AC went out and then at 125k miles the entire transmission. Their ridiculous customer service department is trained to give you the runaround until you just give up. Worst product and worst company ever.

In 2016 I purchased a CPO 2014 Acadia…
In 2016 I purchased a CPO 2014 Acadia Denali. I immediately noticed that the car shifted rough into second gear and brought it in. I was told that everything was normal and that is just the way the car shifts. Me being a trusting person I believed them and went on my way. This went on for the next 3 years up until about a week ago when the hard shifts in second got even worse. The next day my wife and three kids were heading to school/work for the morning and she said the car became possessed and was bucking and making crazy noises and stalling at stops. So much for the claim that the transmission was fine and that's "just how they shift". I got out all the paperwork from when I purchased the car to find my warranty info and saw a carfax sheet in the mountain of papers. Apparently my CPO Acadia was in an accident that was never disclosed to me at time of purchase. I tried not to get upset because the car still had under 100,000 miles and I purchased it less than 5 years ago so I should be covered. Next I had to figure out how to get this thing to a dealer for them to look at it. I was concerned that I would never make it all the way to the dealer I bought it from so I just went to the closest GM dealer which was Chevrolet of Milford CT. I somehow managed to get it there and they notified me several days later that the transmission was in fact going to need to be replaced and that the car was not under warranty. I couldn't believe it the warranty for GM CPO is five years from when the car was originally sold. I did my research and I believe GM might have one of the worst CPO warranties. Ford is 7 year 100,000, Kia 10 year 100,000, Hyundai 10 year 100,000. Also, as far as I can tell these are from the date YOU purchase it not the original owner. I was so upset because I did report it before the warranty was up, I reported it nearly 2 years ago and was told it was "normal". SO naturally if I called GM corporate they would understand, they would have empathy and discretion and make this right. So on Tuesday I spoke to a customer service rep at GM named Cheryl who at first basically said there was nothing GM could do to assist as it was out of warranty. I then tried to explain that their warranty is just a piece of paper if you report a problem with the car and no one does anything to properly diagnose, document, or repair it. I did bring it in under warranty but I was sent out the door with a bs story and explanation. I could tell she felt genuine empathy for my case but said her hands were tied. So I sat there feeling like a total sucker, I got played and now I was on the hook for a $6,000 bill. About 20 min later my phone rang and It was a Sr. Customer service rep from GM named Zamartes (Sp) He explained that Cheryl escalated my call and he would do some digging to see what he could do. He said it would take a few days so just sit tight. I was so relieved and thankful but it was short lived. I started researching and I found out that the torque converter and wave plates in the transmission used in the Acadia is a known problem and that GM is replacing them left and right. Earlier today I got a call from Zamartes and he said there's nothing they could do. I explained that I was not looking for a handout, I did bring the car in when it was in warranty. I just want GM to do the right thing as I feel my case requires some more scrutiny and not just a decision made by the current date. I could also tell he genuinely understood what I was saying so he asked me to hold. He then transferred me to a supervisor named Shea. I could tell immediately that she had already made up her mind about leaving me out to dry. All of her responses were like robotic manufactured empathy, I tried my best to explain that I tried everything I could think of to get it fixed while it was still under warranty. I got nowhere, I just feel sick to my stomach now. I will honestly never recommend a GM product to anyone and warn them to trade them in while they still work. Oh yeah, and my replacement transmission is back ordered because of the strike. So disappointing

NOT ROAD READY
The last 3 years I have had issues with my cars acceleration. When I bought my 2012 Buick regal in 2015. I was told I have a 5 year or 100k mile warranty which ever comes first. I have paid so much in service cost. When I drive it would only go 35 miles an hour and that was flooring it. I went to the dealership for the repairs and was told it wasn't covered under the warranty so I had to pay out of pocket. My safety was compromised I wasn't given a loaner vehicle they told me they didn't have any. I was ignored and treated like I was bothering them because I wanted info on my car. My check engine light has come on, on 3 different occasions with issues from stabiliatrak issues, leak in the transmission, crank/cam shaft issues 2x resulting in loss of acceleration because Buick / GM can't sell properly functioning cars / parts. The unavoidable financial loss due to their negligence and misleading warranty should result in better customer service since they know they are selling bad parts / cars. The customer service rep told me to call her when I went to get my car but then when i called there was no one available to speak with me the first rep was super rude. I called to try to get someone else a voice mail what have you and the guy just over talked me and was like i told you we aren't paying for the repair cost. I asked the guy to just listen because i was told there may be an option to do something different but the rep said she couldn't tell me until after i paid for the repairs. Sounds very misleading and then she isn't even available when i get there.

After owning Nissan for more than 20…
After owning Nissan for more than 20 years, in which I never had any major problems with, I bought a used 2008 GMC Serria, my first mistake, with the purchase I got an warranty form preferred warranties INC (not worth the paper it is written on). The truck at the time of purchase had only 77,000 miles on it, the only problem I had was the sound system had a short in it were not all the speaker worked. later I discover that the transmission was leaking, took it to a GMC dealer, determined front seal was bad, est $1400.00 to fix. but I kept an eye on it and it didn't seem to be a problem. (6-8 months)Then I started having ignition problems were I replace alternor and than battery, while drive to work one day and making left hand turn I notice my oil pressure gage swing low, and than vehicle warning system on dash. I stop and discovered engine was lower on oil. After putting a quart of oil in it and the oil pressure gage on longer was fluxuating. After about a month later I experience the same thing, but since vehicle was due an oil change, so I change the oil, a month later same thing. all this going on with this truck over only having for a year and putting 20,000 miles on it. Thinking that this warranty was going to cover any of the repairs covered minus the $100.00 deductible, 2nd mistake, the engine had been burning do to carbon stuck ring which caused damage to cylinders. I also experience passage side window would
not go up or down( Electric) determine controller needed to replace (est 240.00) covered over warranty - $100 deductible leaking transmission est $1400, not covered under warranty, Est cost to replace engine (est 7,000 - 9,000) not cover. GMC was given a bail out in 2008 by us tax payers, now this combat veteran is asking for GM for pay back in putting a new engine my truck. My third mistaking thinking GMC knows anything about Honor, Courage and Commitment in doing the right thing, Signed AO1 Michael E. Evans USN RET

GMC needs to stand by their product!
We have a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 that has about 54,000 miles on it. The condenser went out on it. GMC is repairing the Escalades and Yukans that have the EXACT same defective parts but not my dad's truck! How is the right or fair! I have contacted our dealership and several other GMC dealerships and they all have reported this issue to corporate...they don't care!

Stupid move GM
Stupid move GM! America was there for you, now you pull out on her when you are doing good. Hope you like Mexico and China. I use to love Chevy, never again! Can you say bankruptcy. Thanks for the past, it was nice while it lasted.
