I was calling this company over a couple of days, around 15-20 times, and waiting for 20-40 minutes each time. Nobody was able to answer, and it gets frustrating when you can't find someone to help. I couldn't get a quote or any payment method either online or over the phone to insure my vehicle. I cannot imagine what would happen if I needed emergency assistance or had other questions about my billing. It would be extremely difficult to reach someone for help when I need it. If this company doesn’t have customer support over the phone, that's a significant issue for me, and I anticipate frustrating times in the future, even though the rates are cheaper than others. This company used to be good, but now I'm thinking they might be going out of business.

GEICO failed...
I am submitting a complaint against the insurance company of Ruth Castellanos, New Hampshire resident who caused a severe auto accident in Salem MA on April 3, 2024, GEICO Secure Insurance Company Claims Department. Also named in this complaint is Elroy Jones, Claims Adjuster for Geico. After being a victim of an auto accident caused by Ms. Castellanos accelerating into my 2020 Ram 1500 Classic on 4/3, I was contacted by Geico on Monday 4/8 at 11:21am. I spoke with an agent (presumably female by voice/tonality - I want to say her name was "Hannah" but I cannot confirm for certain) who identified as the policy holder for the offending motorist. Preliminary conversation included covering the incident details, in which I confirmed that the police report is a 100% accurate description of the severity of the accident. During this initial conversation, I inquired about rental coverage for the offending party as I am without the vehicle pending substantial repair. I was advised that GEICO would be assisting with the rental coverage with their preferred partner, Enterprise, beginning with a 10 day period during the initial phase of the repair, to be continued/extended as the length of repair was required. I was subsequently contacted directly by Enterprise at 11:44am who in a voicemail confirmed "Geico sent (Enterprise) over some information to get you set up in a rental." I contacted Enterprise and made arrangements for pickup on Tuesday 4/9. The car was picked up at approx. 10:30am. At 3:15pm the same day, I was contacted by Elroy Jones at Geico. I then received a message from the same advising "you are hereby notified that the Property Damage arising out of this accident may
exceed the Property Damage limits of our insured's policy." I called to determine what this meant, and Elroy spoke very candidly and unapologetically that I would need to return the vehicle they had arranged for me hours ago, or else I would be charged directly by Enterprise. With the rental office set to close in 90 minutes of the conversation, I requested to speak directly with a supervisor with Elroy refused. I panickily contacted Enterprise, who confirmed the same as Elroy and essentially forced me to return the vehicle as I cannot afford to be charged directly.
GEICO's customer caused a horrific accident, shutting down traffic and providing devastating damage and impacting my ability to complete the job I need to support my wife and 2 foster daughters. What's worse is that her insurance company did nothing to make us whole.
GEICO needs to fulfill the same resolution they proposed on 4/8 11:21am - offering vehicle rental compensation for the entirety of the repair process.

So I already have a vehicle with Geico
So I already have a vehicle with Geico. I recently purchased the second car, and decided to have insurance policy with Geico. They gave me a HARD time, keep playing with me back and forth for this policy. I end up cancelled the policy and went with another company. I am working to move my 1st vehicle with the other company as well. They disappoint me, and not what I anticipated from Geico.

Disorganized disjointed company
Disorganized disjointed company. Applied for auto insurance online. Said could take up to 15 business days. Kept checking back regularly and it said still being processed. Received snail mail 12 days later that they needed more info. Two days after I received another piece of snail mail that they closed my insurance application because I didn't submit the addtl information they requested in time.
So their automated system is so broken, that they literally gave no time by snail mail standards for a customer to provide them with whatever addtl info they needed. What a joke of a company!

If you want a good mystery story, this is the company!!!
Si I was having a problem with my sunroof, not a crack or anything and I called and asked if this problem was covered and the agent said yes!! LSS, a whole week of yes,no,yes,no and one agent fromS.C.told me I can't take it to the dealer (MB)..listen, if your going to do business all over the country, you need to know all laws and policies for every state(Massachusetts right to repair law..it's on the books, geniuses!) Anyway, after many good stories and arguments, an adjuster had the nerve to call me and tell me I'm not covered but he also said he NEVER looked at my car!!! Awesome business practice!!! After many words exchanged he had the audacity to call me stupid, he was on speaker and 3 people in the vehicle heard him...bottom line, if you're out to tell stories make sure everyone in the company is on board with the same lies...a simple no at the initial call would have solved all this but I guess belligerence is the order of the day..canceled them for good and went to Amica, where yes the actually spoke to me with respect and Bryan Moore answered my questions and was very clear on explaining everything to me...grow up Geico!!! You need to teach your staff how to be clear and speak to people with respect..

Since the beginning it was a scam and…
Since the beginning it was a scam and lies. The online quote provided to me was 660 $ with a discount while paying upfront for 6 months. When I got on the payment website and provided my CC info the website got stuck. After a moment I got a notification from my bank that they charged me 780$ !!! Upon calling with the customer service they claim no error was made and no refund will be issued. Then I got a mail saying I need to provide utility bills to confirm my residential address. I LIVE WITH A ROOMMATE who pays all the bills. The agent said if I don't provide it the policy will be cancelled , which is GREAT since I am done with this scam.

Take the time to read the reviews. Will save you time and frustration.
My wife and I had an auto/life bundle for a year, having switched from Amica. I wanted to have GEICO be that insurance company I could trust and keep for the long term. However, customer service is pathetic. After finally reaching an agent, you quickly sense that they don’t care and aren’t necessarily interested in resolving your issue. Every issue took multiple calls to resolve. One issue, removing my daughter from our policy, was never done even though we were told it was handled multiple times. Finally gave up after they had a huge premium increase without an accident or ticket. Bad experience…good riddance.

Price gouging!
Could reach a live person. Texting agent could or would not provide explanation for 350% rate increase
