The representative that I first talked with to insure me, I was never able to talk back with her. I don’t use email and that’s all they wanna do or set up an app, which I can’t do, we are not all literate in this era. There is no local office in Alexandria which is sad. Anyway I was insured with them for 4 months, their rates were very high, and when I found cheaper insurance, I had to jump through hoops to Cancell. I was given the run around . Demetria with whom I spoke with on August 22, to suspend auto pay, and Cancell my insurance policy as I found cheaper coverage. Which she said she did, I kept receiving bill for non payment, but I already had other coverage. I spoke with another representative on Labor Day to see why I’m still receiving bills when I’m no longer with them,and he wasn’t too nice. He told me I was, I told him I had found and implemented other coverage. He said I’d have to write to tell them to stop coverage. But the representative said all was taken care of. Then stated in my state of Louisiana I must stop the policy. Well, I had it stopped when I talked with the first representative. No where in my policy with them stated none of what the young man was telling me. Geico doesn’t clarify things with its customers at all. I’m disappointed. After getting yet another bill I called back to geico and got to get ahold to a very nice Representative in Buffalo NY , name Kimberly and she informed me what I needed to do, by time I spoke to her I was exhausted and I’m certain she knew it and was so kind and quickly answered my question as to what did I need to do to cancel this policy as it should have already been cancelled. They all gave me the runaround until I spoke to someone with good sense. America is in deep trouble with knowledge. The driver said he don't have a license, did Geico check¿ I can no longer trust this company. It's been over a year and 7mo and still this isn't settled. Guy run into my back bumper, refuses to get cops involved, as I told 911, left and a few days later his Mother got a false witness. Weed engulfing his mother's car, we exchange info and he left before me, So Where Is The Witness. I sent pictures and a witness statement from a Walmart worker stating that guy run into my bumper. Fine, if Geico want to be ripped off, it's not my monies but refuse to do business with this company. Walmart has signs in place for entering and exiting, guy wasn't supposed to be driving in direction. Also, I assume there was a time limit in Louisiana. Leaving Geico. Date 01/23 it took place but not sure of day

I got hit by a Geico customer and the experience has been horrible! It took almost 2 weeks for me to get into a shop for an estimate on my car. The reason? Cause they werent able to get ahold of the driver. So i called and was like whats going on and they told me that they need to talk to the one who hit me (someone who btw tried to keep insurance from getting involved and suggested "splitting the cost"). So instead I reached out to him. And threatened to file police report, till he finally got back to them. What if they never got a hold of him? And I would just be sitting in the unknown of what was happening? How long would that have gone on for before someone actually contacted me about the situation? I finally got my car into a shop, 2 weeks after the accident, and got a rental which was necessary cause I USE MY CAR FOR WORK. Then it takes about 4 days for me to find out that it was totaled. Fortunately, I found out the payout number efficiently so I could crunch numbers for a new car. That's the only thing they did right. Then a lady called to confirm whether or not I had a title (without really saying so). She kept asking questions about the personal loan I had on my car even though it ended up meaning nothing. We scheduled a phone call that she missed causing me to call them. After waiting an hour for her to call, I waited 30 mins on hold to find out that the reason for us calling was pointless and that i could've gotten everything sorted to send out my title the day before. So on a Wednesday I mailed out my title and found out that because of the holiday (labor day, the Monday after) it would take 6 days to get in. I call on a Tuesday (today) and turns out they got the title! But now they're saying it will take 48 HOURS for that title to get uploaded to my file. So I ask if there's anyway they can expedite the process and they insist on me waiting till they do it on their own time. So I complain to supervisor about all the problems I've been dealing with and instead of doing something to make me feel like they actually care, she argues with me and tells me that "they have no control over the mailing service". This company does not care about their customers or the drivers their customers hit. Do the world a favor and never use Geico, EVER.

I have had car insurance and gotten homeowners insurance through them with other companies. The car insurance goes up at every renewal even though I have made no claims and the homeowners insurance does the same. I recently went through a local agent trying to find out if they would look into insurance carriers to see if one would insure an older roof on a house I had under contract. The seller's of the house declined to put a roof on the house even with me splitting the costs. They said they were only paying $1000 a year through State Farm so the roof was insurable. I never got through the quote with GEICO because the customer rep I talked to locally pulled up a picture of the house and started in on me about repair demands. Things that would have to be fixed or added to make the house insurable. I stopped the quote from going further because all I needed to know is if the roof which the sellers said was 13 years old and the inspector said it only had 3 -5 life left on the roof could be insured. Next thing I know I'm being asked by the customer rep when I'm doing all the repairs for it to be insured. I assumed the seller's weren't making any repairs since they said no to the roof and I'm not making any either. On top of that the HVAC was on it's last leg which wasn't disclosed and a whole lot of pieced together work done throughout the house per inspection report. Once I find a decent house I don't have to glue back together I will be dropping GEICO and bundling my insurance policies elsewhere. You people are insane. Telling me I have to fix everything before I insure it. I'm the buyer not the seller and I didn't own the house and let everything get in the shape it is in. It's called upkeep and I'm not footing a huge bill just to get insurance. I will be dropping GEICO and bundling my insurance elsewhere. And.. I will not be buying the house because afterwards I immediately terminated it due to the huge headaches that came with it.

Geico is a crock. Got a great rate. The rate was increased by about $15 because of an accident that was on my previous insurance but not my accident. Okay, I kinda get that. THEN, even though I marked my marital status as single on my quote, they claimed it was unknown and took it upon themselves to change it to single with raised my premium by $40 A MONTH. What? Absolutely cancelling this policy.

This is a very dishonest insurance company. Their insurer back into my car and agree to pay. After wiring me a down payment and agree to pay, their insurer changed their history and GEICO agreed with their history. They did not even have the courtesy to call me with an update, I had to call them to see what was happening. Furthermore, this insurance gets you with the six month policy so they can review their policies and increase your premiums within 6 months, instead of 12. They are reptiles just like their mascot. Please do not use them and always file a police report, since unfortunately you cannot trust people’s word.

I tried to add a car to my policy and the online system experienced some strange error. It said to try again shortly. That was 6 weeks ago. I have talked to customer service twice in that period and they say, yea, we see you added the car but your account has some root software issue and our programmers have to go into the system and fix it. In the meantime we cant: provide proof of insurance, change the policy in any way, or even cancel the policy. What?! GEICO's tech is so rinky dink that a customer is stuck in limbo for 1.5 months unable to do anything. Meanwhile, I am getting fined by the state for not having car insurance because GEICO's system can't produce proof of insurance. I have since set up a new policy with Progressive but GEICO can't even cancel my policy due to this computer "bug". The only guidance they gave me is that I have to wait until their programmers "have the time" to go into the system and fix it. Well, GEICO programmers, TIME IS UP! You have had 6 weeks to fix this bug. You are a terrible company if you can't even fix a simple computer bug. DO NOT USE GEICO!
