The representative that I first talked with to insure me, I was never able to talk back with her. I don’t use email and that’s all they wanna do or set up an app, which I can’t do, we are not all literate in this era. There is no local office in Alexandria which is sad. Anyway I was insured with them for 4 months, their rates were very high, and when I found cheaper insurance, I had to jump through hoops to Cancell. I was given the run around . Demetria with whom I spoke with on August 22, to suspend auto pay, and Cancell my insurance policy as I found cheaper coverage. Which she said she did, I kept receiving bill for non payment, but I already had other coverage. I spoke with another representative on Labor Day to see why I’m still receiving bills when I’m no longer with them, and he wasn’t too nice. He told me I was, I told him I had found and implemented other coverage. He said I’d have to write to tell them to stop coverage. But the representative said all was taken care of. Then stated in my state of Louisiana I must stop the policy. Well, I had it stopped when I talked with the first representative. No where in my policy with them stated none of what the young man was telling me. Geico doesn’t clarify things with its customers at all. I’m disappointed. After getting yet another bill I called back to geico and got to get ahold to a very nice Representative in Buffalo NY , name Kimberly and she informed me what I needed to do, by time I spoke to her I was exhausted and I’m certain she knew it and was so kind and quickly answered my question as to what did I need to do to cancel this policy as it should have already been cancelled. They all gave me the runaround until I spoke to someone with good sense. America is in deep trouble with knowledge. This review was written by me, Alice Jackson on Sept4, 2024 I went back to did misspelled words and now you want a picture, well I don’t know how to do that, but I’ll call the BBB and inform them of my experience with geico.

My issue with Geico is due to their DriveEasy program. They claim while driving that the app monitors your driving / speed, braking, turning, and if you are picking your phone up and having a conversation. The issue I have with this is the program / app is bs! I have never once slammed on my brakes, never once had to turn sharply or hard and if I ever did it was to avoid an accident, but this app claims I do it frequently. What I find hilarious about this is I am a former LEO and have taken driver courses, but this app claims otherwise. The app is not accurate and does not provide accurate feed back to Geico period. Me and my wife plan on leaving Geico all together soon as theirs a list of reasons why we are fed up and it wasn't just the drive easy app to save a measly 40 bucks. The customer service can disconnect on accident or a drop call and they don't call you back, so basically you have to explain yourself all over again to a new rep. I asked for more information about the break down of how drive easy works, never received it. Numerous reps give different vague answers about the drive easy. Why did my insurance rate go up by 3 different people with 3 different quotes, none are the same! You also have to constantly request your new insurance cards from them and when it boils down to asking about accidents and what not they are clueless! Example, I asked if someone totaled my vehicle how would Geico assist versus other insurance companies and verbatim I was told "it depends on whose fault". I told them if another driver hit me and totaled my vehicle and again "it depends on whose fault". Generic response from a rep!

I've been with Geico since 2014 and had no complaints. Now things have changed. Washington State has made it illegal to use credit scores to calculate rates. So the net effect for me with an 800 score is I have to pay $25 more every 6 months now, to pay for the deadbeats getting a break. Geico used to reward good behavior, now I'm getting punished for paying my bills on time.
