I received a GE Washer as a Replacement through my Home Warranty. This was the Worse Choice I Made!! I got this Washer in March 2026 and 5 Techs have been sent out for Repairs and it’s Still Not Fixed. This Washer Makes Loud Knocking Sounds and No one can seem to fix it!! This washer is Defective and they Won’t replace it!! They Keep coming out to Fix the So Called Issue and it’s Not the Issues!!!

I ordered a new stove from Walmart and…
I ordered a new stove from Walmart and it was a GE brand. After waitung 7 days ti hear from them, I was given a delivery datw for three days later. Twn days later, I take tge day off of work and book the elevator expecting my delivery between 10-2. By 4:00 and no delivery, I contact GE who state they are in traffic. Livid, I contact Walmart who then escalated my issue to GE. I am then told to wait another 48 hours to hear from GE about my order!? This is the most horrible service I have ever recieved, they treat their customers like crap.

Worse customer service ever encountered…
Worse customer service ever encountered by a company. Our GE monogram refrigerator ice maker non functional after only 2 years and they charged me for a new one, sent a completely different ice maker that doesn’t fit in monogram and all plugs are different electrodes. Their response, “sorry that’s the replacement we have”. These people are morons and perhaps GE should stop hiring remote at home workers with grade school level educations for their customer service. Do not buy monogram, many other better non-GE products out there.

After sale service extremely bad
After sale service extremely bad. We have ben waiting more than a month to get our washer-dryer fixed. We paid 3000 $ for a machine we can't use. We asked for a compensation that they refuse. Meanwile, we must go to the laundromat every week. They just don't care. I recommend to stay away from that brand.

the pump broke down after 3 years of use , the maintenance and repair services are very expensive and the customer service is very dismissive and unable to help . If you buy the most expensive washer in market you expect it to work properly for few years !! Do not buy ! Invest in any brand but GE

This is the worst customer experience…
This is the worst customer experience of my life. They installed a part in our oven 2 months ago that didn’t fix the issue and that we didn’t need. They refuse to refund us the 700 dollars back because “it is against their policy to do refunds”, even if we give the part back. It’s literal theft. It’s been 2 months and they still haven’t fixed our oven because they keep “losing the parts, ordering the wrong parts, forgetting to order the parts”.
The only way they will give us part of the 700 dollars THEY STOLE is if we use them again and they don’t charge us, but that hasn’t happened in 2 months.
A company has never made me so upset.

Terrible Quality
Shopping for Appliances? Look At General Electric’s Poor Quality Before You Invest
I spent many years in the homebuilding industry, where I was responsible for selecting the products and materials used in approximately 1,500 new homes each year. Product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction were a primary consideration when choosing appliances for our buyers.
General Electric appliances were used in every home for years. At that time, General Electric earned an outstanding reputation. They were widely recognized for durability and long service life. It was common to hear homeowners say, "GE appliances never wear out," or, "I only replaced mine because I wanted a newer model."
Based on my wife's and my recent experience, however, today's GE appliances no longer reflect the standard of quality that once distinguished the brand.
Our Experience
Approximately 9 years ago, we built a new home and installed a complete suite of GE Café appliances. We anticipated reliability that had made GE an industry leader for generations. Unfortunately, we were wrong.
REFRIGERATOR No. 1
• Failed after approximately three months due to numerous problems and service calls.
• The unit was replaced under the manufacturer's warranty.
REFRIGERATOR No. 2
The replacement unit also had multiple issues:
• LED interior lights required replacement after a number of years.
• The refrigerator produced an extremely loud and persistent noise that could be heard throughout much of our home.
• After only about 9 years, the refrigerator had to be replaced. This was well below the median life span of about 15 years.
REFRIGERATOR No. 3
• To maintain a matching kitchen, we reluctantly purchased another GE refrigerator at a total cost of nearly $4,000, including tax, delivery, and installation.
• Unfortunately, this unit appears to reflect cost-cutting design changes rather than product improvements.
Among the most noticeable issues:
• Earlier GE refrigerators included a door-cam mechanism that helped keep the doors open. According to the distributer, GE discontinued this inexpensive synthetic cam.
• Rather than redesigning the mechanism to a stronger material like metal, GE has eliminated them altogether. This item only cost pennies.
• We now have doors that frequently and slowly close. On numerous occasions, my wife and I have had the doors swing into our elbows. The dealer has made several adjustments; the problem still exists.
• The interior glass shelves also have a tendency to lift out of position and require reseating because they do not appear to be securely retained.
WINE COOLER
• The GE wine cooler failed after approximately 9 years of service. A comparable replacement now costs nearly $2,000.
Summary
Over the past several years, my wife and I have spent about $9 thousand dollars on new and replacement GE products. These items should have provided significantly longer service but they did not. They failed by about 6 years before the average national life cycle.
The GE name was once associated with engineering excellence, durability, and long-term value; that reputation no longer reflects their products. They command premium prices and yet the products no longer provide the level of quality, reliability, or value that once made the GE name synonymous with excellence.

GE & Bodewell are AWFUL
I purchased an extremely expensive refrigerator from GE that stopped working when it was 2 1/2 years old. I had purchased a five-year extended warranty. Everything about scheduling this appointment has been extremely frustrating. Bode well says they take calls on Saturdays from 8 AM to 6 PM on their website. They do not. I have scheduled a technician visit for June 10 and then they called and canceled it and moved it to June 22. On June 22, the compressor was completely replaced. On June 27 the refrigerator completely stopped working after whistling loudly for three days when I called Bode well to complain, they said I needed to call assurant at a different 800-number where I was on hold forever and ever. This has been such a horrible experience with everyone giving me the runaround.
