Everything is with AI. There are so many errors. They charge hundreds of dollars extra for NY and NJ tests. They have a glitch on the website where if you do an add on they make you go on two separate appointments. Now they are reneging on the 2 tests that were promoted. That is right. They now say 'only one time getting bloodwork' - as if it is a perk, but the high price was always justified by the double test. I am entangled with them now and it is a nightmare. Use any other service unless you want to join me in this ai mismanaged mess.

Great service in terms of cost and comprehensiveness of the blood panel. There was a bit of confusion around my test booking at Quest labs but the Function team helped sort it out. It is inconvenient to have to travel two hours each way to get my bloodwork done on two separate days, but it's manageable. However, I wish there were a standard way to set up tests for those of us who do have to travel so that only one day's tests have to be fasted (i.e., so that one can travel to the testing lab late one afternoon, do the non-fasted tests, stay overnight near the testing facility, and then the next morning do the fasted tests and travel home). I had to arrange this as a special thing and I think that was what led to the confusion about my booking at the lab.

Buyers beware! It is impossible to cancel your Function Health membership. I’ve been trying to cancel mine for weeks, and they are still going auto renew. Function Health and Mark Hyman are like a bad boyfriend who won’t let you break up with them. It’s pathetic.

Splitting labs into two separate visits is unnecessarily inconvenient. It requires fasting twice and taking time off work twice — a major frustration that could easily be avoided by consolidating testing into a single visit. You’re also not told you’ll need two visits until after you pay. Function always requires two visits. Another pain point: downloading results. There’s no simple way to export a consolidated report. Each result has to be downloaded individually from Quest and then manually merged into a single PDF. That’s time-consuming and unreasonable for a service positioned as premium and physician-friendly. That said, the website functions okay and lab turnaround was fast (labs drawn Friday, results posted Monday in the Function portal). The biggest downside beyond logistics is support — if the AI can’t answer your question, there’s no clear path to a real person. Human support is essentially nonexistent. This was the reply from Function Health: "We’re sorry to hear this and have reached out via Trustpilot to gather the necessary contact details to locate your account. Please reply when you can — we’d like to help make things right." Note that the only way to 'reply' is to edit my review. I've just edited my review. I'm frustrated that I cannot download a copy of my labs. I've emailed Function Health requesting a copy. Now it's wait and see....

This is not real healthcare service. It's some super shady test selling service. 1. Using them feels like sitting through Mexican timeshare presentation. I was trying to schedule my tests and was bombarded with ridiculously expensive upsale questions, which are impossible to skip. 2. There are no refunds even if you did not use the service at all. 3. They immediately enroll you into auto-renewable membership which can't be canceled without losing access to the service you already paid for. UPDATE: The response to false. They are pretending to not understand what I'm asking.

I just signed up and paid the $365 annual membership fee. Before I paid, the AI chatbot was exceptionally responsive and helpful. However, the moment the transaction was complete, the experience shifted. While completing the onboarding questionnaire and deciding against the add-ons for my labs, I received a "This page failed to load" error message after submitting the info to find a testing site in the area. So, there was no way to proceed with scheduling the labs. Since then, the chatbot—the ONLY form of communication provided—has gone completely silent and would not respond at all. There is no human to contact and no way forward to resolve the issue nor address my request to cancel the membership. It is incredibly alarming to be ignored by a company immediately after handing over a significant membership fee. Proceed with caution if you expect any service at all after you pay. Meanwhile, it’s $365 gone.

Scheduling labs has been made so easy. Asking questions and getting answers has also been easy. When I scheduled labs however, I was prompted to choose an option(s) that are confusing. Especially if I just want to choose what I have prepaid for. Confusing because there is a price next to the prepaid one which makes it look as though I will be charged (again). I was also confused as to why the same ones weren’t retested as it wasn’t explained, until I asked, that some will likely have the same results as my 1st round of labs because they wouldn’t likely change much in 6 months. Therefore they aren’t included in the follow-up. I wish those 2 things had been clear as I had to spend a while making AI understand what I was asking in order to get that answer! I LOVE the thought and detail that went into the results I received. That was great! But I felt like it took an extra long time to get the blood test info back from the lab. I’d like to have it back sooner. I do understand how the doctor’s analysis can sometimes take longer. Overall, I love this service!
