FH was a bit sneaky in getting me to renew my annual subscription this past year, as I received a notice that I was all set up/ready for my annual blood work. I clicked on proceed button to move to the next step (looking to see what price at which I would be renewing) and, without warning, after hitting one of the proceed buttons, my credit card was charged (without true notice that I was going to be charged).

I love the availability of labs and having a physician review them. However, I ordered several add-on exams that weren't drawn with my initial lab draw, and when I scheduled another visit, they still weren't drawn. It literally took 4 lab visits to have all of my add-ons drawn. I had even emailed back and forth with Function to make sure they would be drawn with each lab visit, and they still weren't. It shouldn't be this hard.

There should be a list of tests still pending after doing a session. I should be able to export a previous set of results not just the most recent since the point of this is to track and improve over time and be able to share past results. This experience will make me reconsider continuing.

Getting the test at quest is an easy process. The information is nice. The app where you get your results is hard to understand. Also does not give great next steps.

Update: Customer service reached out & resolved/ paid the promised referral. Grateful for the resolution. It's unfortunate it took so much effort and time (about 9 months?) to make it happen. ------- Had a referral on a referral promo, but never saw the referral money. Made follow up contact about it with Function Health. Never heard anything. Have had a few troubles with referrals being sent in time to the lab & one time had to reschedule as a result which was frustrating. Customer service was difficult to connect with at the time (about a year ago) but seems better recently. Function Health is pricy but good, it gives opportunity for personal health insights for the motived individual. There are similar options available that hopefully provide better follow through with referrals.

Great service. Will not share clinicial notes easily. According to their own AI: "So the short version: the notes are there to help explain your results in context, but Function’s current sharing/export flow is limited — and yes, that can make the process more cumbersome than it should be."
