What function doesn’t tell you upfront is that their parameters for what is considered in range or out of range bloodwork are much tighter than clinical standards. I spent many months thinking that I had a lot of unhealthy bio markers and scrutinized my entire lifestyle, which is actually very healthy, to the point of daily anxiety. Come to find out most of these markers were actually clinically in range. I think Function is a great app, but there needs to be more transparency.

Function helped me discover issues I would have never known about with my routine bloodwork at doctor. Love all the suggestions they also give to reverse problems.

The scheduling is very easy, and the Quest location that I went to was outstanding. They were on time and the staff was very professional and friendly.

Like that more facts are available- unfortunately GP and cardiologist don’t know what to do with the info and FH basically shrugs and says- we can’t help you. Then of course there are the specials they run for new members while penalizing loyalty by not giving any discounts. I wanted to keep my info in one place, but as there are other choices- I will keep my options open.

I paid several hundreds of dollars to do some add on tests in addition to my mid-year test, and none of the add on test results came through. I contacted support and they said that these add on tests weren't added to my lab visit and that I'd need to schedule another test to do them, even though the confirmation for the add on tests stated expressly the date that I had my blood drawn. I pointed this out to the customer service rep and got no response. Very dissatisfied. UPDATE: Function has now confirmed that they simply did not add the additional tests to the date of my mid-year blood draw (despite the fact that the receipt said they would be done on that date), so I now have to have my blood drawn again. No explanation was provided as to how this happened. And they didn't tell me that the tests were not a part of my blood draw -- I had to point this out to them. For the money you pay this is not the kind of service one should be getting.

The experience of using function health has been so easy! From booking, doing the labs, and getting the results. Love the detailed information you get post labs with your results...so helpful.
