Complete scammers and totally deceptive. Such a waste of money. Save your time, money, and energy because this company will deny your claim at all costs. They don’t honor the contract and deny what appears to be all claims, even clear manufacturer defects and accident damage. These are both clearly stated in the warranty contract but they say everything is “normal wear and tear” to deny your claim. I had to fight them for months to get my furniture looked at by their third party repair companies. The first repair company Furniture Solutions had someone call and diagnose my problem over the phone with pictures being sent to a cell number. They said it was clearly a manufacturer defect and they would order the replacement parts. I checked my claim two weeks later to find that Fortegra denied the claim even after the repair man said otherwise. I fought to get another technician to look at my chair since the first technician never actually came in person and was assigned the same tech. I had to call back and demand another repair technician. They sent in a second company named Restauro and the tech actually came to my home and said it was definitely a manufactured issue and could be easily fixed. I checked two weeks later to see Fortegra again denied my claim. Both times I was never notified by Fortegra that they denied my claim. It seems they will deny your claim no matter what the furniture repair techs say.

When I made my purchase, Room To Go store staff assured me that if I bought the extra insurance from Fortegra, it would cover me in case of being scratched by a ballpoint pen or nail polish or burned by a cigarette. Since I have small children at home, I bought the extended insurance package for 3 years. But now the insurance won't cover my case. This is a blatant deception.

DECEPTION. In the contract it states "coverage for accidental punctures, cuts, rips...cause by a single accident." I made a claim and the denial reason was and I quote, " the damage was not natural aging/peeling." They clearly only want to take your money and NOT honor their Service Contract. DO NOT PURCHASE FORTEGRA'S SERVICE CONTRACT.

I put in a claim to get a ketchup stain and they denied the claim because i had other stains on the couch. Rip off. Please do not get the extend warranty

I got the insurance for rental car and claimed but got denied after providing all the documents and they just choose to not pay and declined as it was not clear enough in translation of documents and damages are not covered although it was 6000 euro in the policy and my damages were 130 euro.

Terrible experience with Fortega. I purchased furniture under Rooms to go and got their warranty coverage for my recliner. Fortega denied my claim because there were several spots in my furniture that has the stitching come apart. They will give you every excuse so that they don’t have replace or repair your furniture. My rooms to go pamphlet said otherwise though. However their multi page terms and conditions will say something completely different . Never fall for purchasing coverage for your furniture. ITS A SCAM and a total rip off.

Dishonest warranty service I filed a claim about a strange stain and powerfully musky odor coming off my recliner after a move (furniture was in a moving truck for five days along with other families' goods, appararently) and was told the warranty would NOT cover it due to the fact that the origin of the odor was unknown. I was told if it was caused by a pet or animal, it would be covered, but since they had no way of knowing, no. Also, very condescending agent kept referring to me by my first name in a patronizing tone as the conversation went on. Then had the nerve to tell me they would send me what they would cover for "future reference" as if I would keep a musky-smelling chair in my house, or ever do business with them again. It's a shame since I bought the chair six months ago, but now I know: never do business with Fortegra again.

This is a subpar organization. They engage in fraudulent practices and waste your money. Terrible company.
