The Food Lion near my house is terrible. I have gotten spoiled meat from them several times. They often double wrap the meat so that you can’t smell it. Since gas prices are so high it’s cheaper for me to just complain about the meat instead of returning it to the store. I also went to the same store one day and gave the cashier a hundred dollar bill. My change came up to about thirty something dollars. The cashier gave me a $20 that looked weird. I asked him if it was real and he said yes. I immediately went to another store to buy something else and when I gave the cashier the $20 bill, they said that it was fake. I turned around and went back to Food Lion and told customer service what had happened. The manager went to the cashier who told the manager that they didn’t have any twenties that looked like that. The manager asked him if he could describe every twenty in his drawer. To make a long story short, another cashier overheard me when I asked my cashier if the twenty was real or not and that’s probably the only reason I got my money back and didn’t go to jail for having counterfeit money. Needless to say, I don’t shop at any Food Lion anymore.

Smithville TN store- The staff and store were good. For more than 6 months, maybe longer, the cash registers will not recognize Google Pay. I have talked with the manager several times and he says its the IT Dept. This is stuck on repeat, and nothing happens. It is as if IT runs Food Lion, not the CEO or COO. I think if they had this happen, it would be corrected. THEY ARE BASICALLY CASH ONLY. COME ON FOOD LION CEO, GET THIS FIXED.

I received a $200 gift card for Food Lion. The first time I used it everything was fine. I scanned the card myself. Second time, the cashier had to enter the number manually. Next time it took a supervisor to resolve. Last time a supervisor and manager failed to get card to work. Everyone at Food Lion agrees the card has a $60 balance remaining. The store passed me off to FL customer service. Customer service gave me a number that turned out to be an unrelated behavioral health center; and finally, a number for ADUSA card services. ADUSA wanted me to go back to the store for a blank card that they could transfer my balance to. I declined that option and now are going to "look into the matter".

Very unprofessional workers and assistant manager. Dishonest about an employee.

This is the Food Lion near Greenville Memorial Hospital. Both times I had fabulous service. Once at customer service can’t remember her name but she was young blonde hair young lady. She helped me locate charging cords on an end cap. ! Second was I know I looked lost looking for an item. A gentleman from the meat dept. I believe his name was Israel saw my confusion . He asked what I needed and I stated which was not in his dept. he assisted on locating the item. Thank you for all your customer service assistance.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Food Lion does not live up to their commitment. I've heard advertisements their logo is "Fast, Fresh and Affordable" and advertisements they are "Easy, Fresh, and Affordable". Neither is true. I hate shopping my local Food Lion. It is always out of stock on key produce, the produce they do have is low quality and about to expire (or has expired), everything is way overpriced than competitors and they are very slow - both in re-supply and in check out. They are always understaffed and half the checkout lines are closed. They do not offer self check out, therefore even if you only have a few items you have to wait a long time. Restocking is painfully slow and if you have specialty needs such as gluten-free forget it, the selection is scarce. My food Lion used to at least stock GF noodles but they recently discontinued all of them. I asked the assistant manager why he said "I don't know, we sold a lot of them before, it doesn't make sense, I'm sorry". We do not have many grocery options in my town. I think that is the only reason Food Lion exists - is because they locate themselves in areas where there is not much competition and people do not really have a choice to obtain a better product.

I was in a hurry today so I grabbed some hamburger and a steak. When I got home I decided to read the label, the label was so small, I couldn’t read it with a magnifying glass. I f you don’t want me to know what’s in your food, I can’t support you. I will return the meat and find a local butcher. Goodbye Food Lion
