I would not and will never purchase from Floirs Decor again! My husband has been and home builder and now a commercial project manager. We have always recommended them to customers vendors and facilities. We were hit by a tornado at our home last year and had extensive damage. We purchased flooring for a great room last October by December it had major chipping. This room gets very little traffic. We called customer service and filled out a lot of paper work and jumped through hops for Valarie the rep. She decided “ normal wear and tear”. We have had flooring on this room for 20 years before the tornado with NO CHIPPING. They do not stand behind their products and have added more hardship for us on top of the tornado. We never will recommend this place to any vendor facility or builder!

I love Floor & Decor. So when a water leak ruined our dining room floor, I went to F&D for materials to replace it. I found a wood laminate that was almost an exact match, so I bought it. With the sales person's advice, I also bought a Laminate Cutter and 3 sections of T-molding transition strips. I bought the cutter because I didn't want to have to get up and down all the time to trim the boards to fit. When a tried to cut the first piece (after assembly) it was terrible. It cut thru the board with extreme pressure, but it tore the foam backing all to h***! There was no way I could use it for the floor without the risk of damage to the floor being installed. So, out came my power mitre box. I had disposed of the box, so when I attempted to return it with explanation, the clerks said without the box and with markings it had been used, I could not return it. That's $59.99 of wasted money! The second issue, and far more of a problem, was the transition strips. The floor being installed was 3/4" thick. The salesman picked out the T-transition strips and loaded me with the necessary 3 sections. The numbers and colors all matched. Imagine my surprise when I was finished the floor and started on the transition between the new floor and adjacent tile floor. The strips were not 3/4" deep, but much more shallow - almost flat. There was no depth at all to the metal retaining strips that have to be screwed down to the subfloor. I wasn't interested in driving all the way back to the store - time was important - so I got out my table saw, ripped narrow strips of the flooring that could be used as spacers to raise the retaining rail. Screwed and attached everything, then began trimming the transitions to fit. All went well until I had to grab the 3rd section. It had the same label on the front, and was the same color, but the profile (arc) on the strip was different. Sure enough on the back are other numbers, different than the numbers on the back of the first 2 strips. I was able to make it work by where I placed them, but my experience was not good: 1. F&D should have trusted me and taken back the cutter. I have spent thousands of $$$ over the last few years, and I'll remember next time I need flooring; 2. The sales staff should be trained. He should have known that 3/4" laminate flooring requires at least a 3/4" deep transition strip. I trusted the sales person when he began loading me up; 3. The transition strips indicate a lack of quality control. They may have it to an extent, but not as much as required. I'm not angry, just very very disappointed. I like the folks at our local Forsyth County, Georgia store, and they love our cockapoo when we come in. But (a) train your staff, and (b) trust your customer when they tell you the tool you sold doesn't work. I left feeling as though they don't trust me. Now the opposite it true. I don't trust them!

I wouldn’t recommend the installers. Dave came to the house a gave a list of materials needed to do job. Had the materials delivered to house. The day of installation he was using roof shingles. Josh the installer told us that Dave have him the okay to use roof shingles. Josh said that he would take bag of leveling in replace of the roof shingles. I told Josh no. They charge my dad 150 for roof shingles. He didn’t even use a whole bag of shingles. I found out anyone can be a contractor for Floor decor in Novi. Better off having my brother do the job. Good luck wouldn’t have Dave’s contractor Josh he said he been installing floors for 13 years. It sure doesn’t show it. Floor moves.(big air pocket )

Working over three sessions with their designers has been so beneficial in narrowing down what we really wanted in our bathroom renovation. Lucy @ the Beaverton store was so proactive and supportive throughout our numerous changes. We may not have ever decided on our dream bathroom without her and the final price was better than we expected, especially after she found a great deal (in store clearance) on some porcelain tile that looked better than our first choice, which ended up being backordered/out of stock. We felt like we won the lottery with the much higher quality in the clearance tile that ended up costing us about a fourth of our original choice. She also searched for options to meet our color scheme and found a set that matched when we thought there wasn't an option that met the specific pieces we were looking for. Thank you Lucy for your dedication to putting it all together!

I went to the store to purchase a set of door. I showed the sales person the style that I needed and mentioned that the doors were very old. Assuming they will advise me they sold me the pre-hung doors which costed double the price . The opening for the hinges and the door knob was in a completely different spot than original. While communicating via email I was advised to bring them back with the original doors so I can get it corrected, at no additional charge.Once I arrived back at the store the staff didn’t feel like doing it on the spot saying it will be a couple of days. They eventually did it the same day but I had to pay extra. I was lied and used for additional charges. I will not recommend going there. I will tell everyone how poorly I was treated. I paid for the hinges but did not receive them. Places like that make me value bigger corporations like Rona or a home depot. Will be going there for all my future needs

I would give it a 0 if I could but Danielle Gillmore who works In the 410 location in San Antonio In front of the north star mall is a racist and is very very but very unprofessional ! and lacks tons customer service and communication skills ! I am appalled on how someone like that is a manager, let alone is allowed to work here . if you want need any flooring or anything of the sort I suggest you go to ANY other location but this one . It seems like she has a problem with Latinos or Mexicans . I had my family contractor call regarding my order who’s first language is Spanish with a heavy accent called regarding the status on my order because I told him to, although he does have a language barrier its never been an issue to get his point across if you have a brain , which clearly she lacks. I have been in this store several times and never had an issue with any other associate from cashiers to designers to some people on the floor etc . there was even one time I did not have a receipt for one of my products and I do understand the policies and a young gentleman in the front with curly hair returned them for me either way due to me having my receipt for all of my other returns and it was only 2 pieces of a mosaic, cause floor and decor is all about assisting customers right?? WRONG !! And from seeing the reviews it is not a first. And I do not know who she feels like but clearly this is not the place for her she has such a bad reputation with the store because when I told my neighbor about this incident who also does tons of remodeling and business in this location he knew exactly who I was referring to which says A LOT . anyways she answered the phone and my contractor was explaining the situation that my order had been in a pending shipping for a while now . she proceeded to HUH!?? WHAT?! I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING and “SIR I NEED YOU TO TALK CLEALY I DO NOT KNOW WHAT *mocks him* IS and *hangs up* . Yes just like that . as I’m in the kitchen listening to this I cannot believe my ears so I tell him to disregard it and I decide go into the store and there she is in the back desk with her jacked up teeth and eyes wide “Hi do you have a receipt??” I just walked through the door went to the pros and cancelled my order I cannot believe floor and decor would allow such person to work here she is clearly there just for a check . And clearly does not care to resolve any customer issues if anything she gets s kick or ruining your day and is straight up RUDE!! please save yourself a headache, gas and a trip, my family and I will no longer be doing business here or any F&D we’d rather not deal with someone as miserable as her. I will also be taking this to Human Resources because the energy she gives off is up front MALICIOUS!!

You get what you pay with Floor & Decor: you pay a cheaper price for cheaper products and a company that does not stand behind their product. At the recommendation of our contractor, we got all of our tile for a bathroom renovation at Floor & Decor. Fast forward to the completion of the product, it became evident that the tile was defective. An inspector from Floor & Decor confirmed that the tiles were defective & it would be hard to tell as such until they were installed. Floor & Decor offered us a refund of said tiles but our entire brand new bathroom needed to be redone because of the defects. Floor & Decor refused to refund us of costs accrued because of their defective tiles, and to make it even worse, continued to sell the defective tiles in store.
