If I could give it no stars I would. Applied on 28th August and still not open 3 weeks later! My husband had trouble even trying to open an account then a few days after me tried again and it was open in 15mins and I am still waiting! If it does eventually open I will close - they don't deserve my money.

you don't have to be mad to open a First Active/Nat West account but it probably helps.

Applied for an account on 1st September and am still waiting for my application to be reviewed. Wonder if it will take as long to get the money out! Management not responding to any of these reviews which says something. Have opened a different account with similar interest rate now.

Like so many others I am still waiting for account approval after almost 3 weeks. I have been a NatWest current account holder for 52 years so that hasn’t helped me. I am seriously considering closing all my accounts with them as I am so angry that they seem to have no care about this farce. Surely some acknowledgment of failure is now appropriate and the MSE team should be naming and shaming. I too will close the account when it finally gets opened

Like others ive been waiting & waiting, just generic emails apologising for delays. Im looking elsewhere as now i have no trust in them. Very bad customer service. Avoid !

You would have thought that when Nat West decided they were going to offer this account, they would have planned for the likely response from the public, particularly given it was mentioned on MSE. I don’t in any way blame the MSE team for this shambles. Like others, I applied on the 2nd September, have had 3 automated e mails since and am still waiting! Not good enough in this day and age and I dread to think of how they will administer people’s accounts going forward. If I could rate zero stars I would.

I have now cancelled my application for the instant access account! If it takes them this long to just set up and open an account I hate to think how long it would take to move money! They Should Re-name to: First-INACTIVE Hopeless!!!😞
