The rug is of remarkable depth and richness of colour. It is heavy, thick, good underfoot. It's a little more irregular than expected. It is 114" by 50, so long and narrow. There is a kind of unusual curve in the length, making it wider at midway, than at the ends. That's not quite Orthodox but we live in a 200 year old house and we're used to eccentricity.

As a first time buyer, I felt some uncertainties about purchasing a carpet with only a written description and some pictures, However, the return guarantee & free return shipping if there was a problem led me to take the leap of faith. I am so glad I did. I selected my rug on Sunday and it was at my front door on Thursday. The rug was beautiful, just as it was depicted in the picture and very good quality. I am very happy with every aspect of the rug and the Fine Rug Collection Company. When I'm ready to purchase another rug, this on-line company will be the first place I look.

I had reservations ordering such a personal item online, but the pictures and the video on the web page were very helpful. Also the reassurance for free return in 90 days is great. But when I got my rug it was even more beautiful than the pictures. It stays and will be appreciated .

Although I love the rug, the beautiful colors, and the soft fabric, after vaccuming only once I have noticed that the nab is being pulled out. This is very discouraging to me and I would not have purchased it if I had known this would happen.

Sometimes a few threads are missed and are only discovered after first cleaning. If you are cleaning your rug with a vacuum, we highly recommend to turn off its brush as it may cause wear and tear. The multiple photos and videos of each rug make it possible for an informed decision, and the return policy adds the comfort of knowing that even though Fine Rugs has provided LOTS of info, a rug still might not be perfect for a space. The rug we purchased looks SO great, colors true to the photos, and looks even more beautiful than we'd imagined. I've had many disappointing experiences purchasing rugs over many years, and this is the most rewarding experience thus far, other than a romantic purchase of a small carpet while traveling through Italy many years ago. :) I've just placed a second order, confident that this is a reputable vendor. (I also took a photo of my living room and downloaded a photo of the rug, and put them together in photoshop – very helpful!)
