Went to checkout 4 tickets when purchasing for a date later in the week, and the site refreshed or timed out upon proceeding to checkout. It reset the date my tickets were for to the same day. As I had not realized the site messed up my purchase until AFTER the movie had started, upon reaching out to support to explain the situation in detail I was told nothing could be done. Due to their site's error and me not double-checking something that wasn't my fault, they wouldn't even offer me tickets for the correct date.

This company sucks had trouble to buy tickets and after 4 try’s the messed up on the date I request the tickets for I started out buying tickets for Monday 9/4 after so many time trying the tickets wound up being for the date I purchased I would of not realize this if I did not receive and email asking me if I liked the movie o had not seen And then to top it off they won’t even exchange them for the correct date ? It very easy to clarify if the tickets were used or not They completely suck not only lost out on two gift cards but 20 dollars of my own money I was getting 6 tickets Never again

My husband bought a ticket for a certain day and we had a real family emergency, our grandson was in the hospital for several days, so my husband wasn’t able to see the movie. That doesn’t matter to fandango. We didn’t even want the money back, just another ticket but because it was after the date of the of the show they wouldn’t do anything. Buyers beware! Don’t use them, go through the theater.

On August 25, 2023 I attempted to purchase 2 tickets to the Barbie movie. While checking out I received a time out error. Tried a second time and received the same time out error at checkout. At this point I decided to simply buy the tickets in person at the movie theater. It was not until after the movie that I checked my email to see confirmation that the previous two transactions had actually gone through. I called and opened a customer service ticket explaining the situation but it was rejected due to their refund policy which is to not offer one after the movie has started. I understand the policy but it’s as if it was an automated response and no one took into consideration my circumstances. As such, I deleted the app and will no longer purchase using Fandango and am writing this review and filing a claim with the BBB.

Customer service is atrocious, do not buy your tickets thru them.

We have a Fandango gift card that predates COVID and we finally went to use it. The Fandango website told us it has "expired". Not only is this illegal, but their website says gift cards "never expire". I called and they said it is their "policy" to deactivate cards after a few years and said they could send me a new card. I asked them to reactivate it, no go. I asked them to send me an email with a code so I could sign up for a movie now. Also a no go. Apparently the only option is a month long turnaround on a replacement card. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! You have been warned.

The Worst Service Ever! Agree with many reviews below about horrible customer service and the worst service ever! I purchased tickets for Barbie and explicitly check the date and the date was right. After the booking, they send me tickets with the wrong date. I have tried to contact them multiple times and one of their customer service told me that I can easily exchange the tickets when I get to the theatre. this guy was wrong or he totally lied to me, because when we got there, the cashier told me that only Fandango can do the exchange or refund you. I had to buy new tickets!!! And of course, when I emailed Customer Service, they told me that unfortunately they cannot do anything. Liars! The worst platform ever! Run Away!

If I can get 10 people to stop using Fandango, I'll feel like I've accomplished something today. I drove 45 minutes to a theater only to find other people sitting in our seats. The theater manager said, "oh, Fandango has been double booking" (because they don't have the same seat map). What the flying F! having wasted 2 hours of my time on a late Saturday night, they KNEW this was an issue but didn't fix it weeks ago when I booked the tickets? Customer service at F---dango is even more pathetic; they can't help without escalation since its outside their scripted response training and it's after the movie was over. Yeah, no shi*! You had one job: book tickets. Read a seat map and confirm. Pathetic.
