Downloaded the app to watch a movie for free. Had to create a new account because it said I already had a Fandango account but couldn’t get it to work. I understood there are ads. BUT the ads don’t play unless you touch the play button. So 30 minutes in there are 5 consecutive ads but each one doesn’t play unless you are there to touch the play button, otherwise it just pauses until you do. This means you can’t walk away or do something else while the ads are running. Very irritating, just deleted the app. No thanks Fandango. Oh, and couldn’t find a way to delete the account and their junk emails have no unsubscribe link. No thanks and goodbye Fandango.

Just got off the phone with Fandango. First: you can hardly understand the person. Second: they don't listen to what the problem is because they're too busy talking about how they can't help you. Third: they give you another number to call and when you do they in turn give you the same number you called in the first place. Fourth: ripped me off $5.00 because I didn't do it right because their directions are impossible to follow. I just canceled my account and signed up with Cinemark. Hopefully my experience with them will be better!!

Do not buy through fandango! They are up charging you so it’s cheaper to buy through the theater anyways, but recently they charged me for a movie time that didn’t exist then refused me a refund.

I will NEVER buy through Fandango again. Bought 5 tickets in total. Canceled through the app (like they suggest), 1 day BEFORE the showtime. The chat agent said it'll take 3-5 business days. I call customer service a few weeks later for them to say I was trying to cancel AFTER showtime, therefore, no refunds. I have screenshots of the chat with the agent confirming that the refund will take place within 3-5 business days. The only thing each representative on the phone kept saying is, "the request has been denied through our corporate office because we cannot process refunds after the start of a showtime". I am livid. I did everything I was supposed to do and yet this company takes no responsibility nor are they even trying to help. Never again. I hope they get sued by a class action lawsuit and gets destroyed.

Fandango sent an email that declined my request for a refund. The error occurred on their site which reverted my Friday selection to a same day Thursday time slot after the show already started, which ended up going through. Fandango responded by denying my refund on the basis refunds are only issued if requested prior to the show started. The call couldn't take place because the transaction occurred after the show started and the tickets they sent arrived after the show started, which was shown on my email. The transaction should have never gone through after the show started, and the tickets were not used. I had to make another purchase to ensure my family could see the desired movie on Friday, thus the need for the refund. Luckily, I contacted my Credit Card company and was issued a refund on the claim that service was not rendered, and the item sold was not as described. I used to buy all my tickets through Fandango for over a decade. Their policy to block a $42 refund from a customer that's been with them for over a decade was a better business move than losing hundreds of dollars that I would have spent using the service in the future. This will no longer happen.

New name for Vudu but worse. Buffering at least 60% of time. Ads dont buffer at all. Im looking at a spinning wheel most of the time unless an ad comes on. Ive tried both firefox and chrome and tested my data rate at 50mbps. Customer service was an unhelpful chatbot which was clueless, so curious, i waited for a chat person for 40 min. and gave up. This service is absolutely worthless in my experience. I found a movie i wanted to watch so i tried Vudu /Fandango again forgetting my last experience was the same but 8 or 9 months ago. I hope that i can remember to never log on again.

Do not use this company. They do not care about their customers and have terrible customer service. Please buy directly from the theaters. I bought 3 tickets for my teenagers to attend a movie at 6:15p. When they arrived they were told they couldn’t enter due to a curfew policy and to get a refund from Fandango since that’s where we purchased the tickets. I immediately got back on the app to request the refund but because it was the current movie time it wouldn’t allow it. The movie theater gave me the fandango customer service number to call to receive the refund but when I called they said there was nothing that could be done even though I bought another set of tickets for another theater from them. I was basically told to take a $52 loss and that’s it. No other recourse or credit etc I will never use them again and will continue to spread the word.

Really, really terrible. Scammed me out of a $17 credit they added to my account....offered no support, no recourse. I tried several times to get proper help, but it was always so awful. Just deleted my account, will never use again.
