I had an amazing experience with FairShake. I started my process and had a settlement within a few days. I got exactly what I asked for. This was an easy, quick, and stress free experience. Much better than dealing with Optimum costumer service, who was not willing to help me. My Optimum account was then credited the promised refund 2 days after I accepted the offer. I would use FairShake again if ever needed.

I paid $56 for my commission fee back in October against my claim with AT&T. It is now December and I haven’t received any type of credit or payout. THIS IS VERY WELL OVER FRUSTRATING!!!!!
Response from FairShake Inc.Dec 22, 2021
Hi Kiki, I'm sorry to hear this. Our settlements are legally binding and it's always frustrating when companies don't act quickly to implement them. If it's been at least 60 days since your settlement, logging onto your dashboard at https://app.fairshake.com will five you the opportunity to let AT&T know that you hadn't seen the results of this settlement. The other thing to make sure is to check your settlement agreement and your email for requirements from AT&T in order to complete the settlement. For instance for certain settlements they require completion of a tax form and if that hasn't been provided then they won't process the settlement. -MK

It has been 2 maybe 3 months since the process started. The communication is absolutely awful. I asked several times how to I update info. Kept being directed to “the portal” by Robert. I kept telling Robert nothing loads! Finally it opens and Verizon asks for info. Though nothing allowing me to update info. Like how much I want since now I’ve been charged additional fees by Verizon that I never had. Anyway I upload all of the proof. 2 weeks go by. No notifications at all from fairshake. I go and check it and there’s a notice to escalate. Seriously? They have receipts and bank statements still can’t figure this out? So I click on escalate this is where I find it really foul. On their site they promise it’s 100% no charge to me unless I’m paid. I haven’t received a dime and it asks me for my credit card info to pay them $200. I qualify for the reimbursement however they still want my card info. Why? If Verizon is meant to pay it AS THEY SHOULD why do they need my info? Also WHERE IS $200 amount even coming from??? Unbelievable. Also still couldn’t update any info. Such garbage and what a waste of time. I have no idea what’s even happening at this point. 😠 ETA to reply to fair shake Oh please “disappointment” really? You ever stated anything about a $200 and I’m still waiting on the waiver I was promised. So maybe do that so something can actually be done. You lied and continue to lie saying there is no fee. There is a fee and it’s not 100% free to anyone .

Hi, Sorry to hear about your disappointing experience. It sounds like there's a few things going on here which we could do a better job on: 1) It sounds like you may have had technical issues loading your FairShake dashboard ("the portal"). While this happens for every company occasionally, we want to know when it does so that we can trouble shoot the issue. There are other situations where this can be an issue with the browser or internet connection being used. 2) We invite companies to use our system if they are trying to resolve a user's issue in order to ask for additional information if they are unable to identify or understand how to resolve a claim. However, we do see companies use this system in ways that may be intended to frustrate customers, and we are looking for better ways to handle these situations. 3) While it may be a disappointment, it's important to understand that the $200 to escalate your claim to arbitration is a charge by the American Arbitration Association (AAA). None of this fee is retained by FairShake. Unfortunately some companies that agree to eventually reimburse the fee do not do so up front, and unless you qualify for a fee waiver the AAA requires it to file a claim. The amount is named in your contract with Verizon.

I was getting nowhere with my claim. I enlisted the help of "Fairshake" and within days an agreement was reached in my favor. The company has yet to live up to that agreement after 40 days however Max advises that it could take 60 days. We will see.

Hi Stan, Thanks for the positive review. Please keep us updated -- at 60 days if you haven't seen results you should log back into your claim dashboard and you'll be able to trigger a follow-up to the company. It's frustrating when companies take awhile to deliver on settlements but the settlements are legally binding and companies almost always follow through. (The one caveat is to make sure that you complete any conditions included in the settlement, including extra paperwork, that may be required.) -Max

They made Suddenlink pay attention to my complaint which they had refused to do for several months. FairShake did everything they said they would do.

I needed to get out of a 2 yr contract for services nowhere near what was advertised. $15.00 per month for months unfulfilled. I refused to pay this early termination fee. FairShake represented me and was able to negotiate me a deal and everyone is happy. Reasonable fees for their services, Action was fast and very little to do on my part.
