The EyeQue equipment works pretty well. You just have to take the time to learn it. They could be a little clearer about which apps you need to perform which procedures. For example you need separate apps for pupillary distance and eye correction. It is made well enough and inexpensive.

Hello Paul, Thank you for your review! You are correct - there is a bit of a learning curve with our device, but once you've become acclimated to the device and the test process, it becomes easier. I appreciate your suggestion to clarify the need to use separate apps, and I'll be sure to forward it to our Marketing/design team.

the process was difficult to keep aligned .. to easty to botch a test and it required you to restart the entire process. the glasses did not really work to improve anything.

Hello there, Thank you for your review. I took a look at your tests, and saw there was some inconsistency in your results for your left eye, which could have been improved with additional testing. However, I also understand that it is frustrating to have to start the entire test over if you accidentally push the wrong sensor. We will take this feedback to our dev team for consideration for any future updates and/or products. Please contact our support team for additional assistance - they are happy to help either with tips for the test process, or for the return.

Verdict is still out on the PVT device, but Service has been responsive and has tried to get things straightened out. I'm still trying out the PVT, but so far the results don't quite match the doctor's Rx.

EyeQue.com provides a very easy-to-use system for measuring your eyes. I took multiple tries and got very consistent results. I especially appreciate that EyeQue offers low-cost glasses to confirm the eyeglass numbers and it worked perfectly. Since using EyeQue I have successfully ordered glasses online with progressive lenses and they correct my vision perfectly. In these uncertain times in 2020 I want to limit my exposure and avoid in-person physical and optical exams and EyeQue.com successfully enabled me to do just that!

Remote came with a bad connector. I called support and a new remote was shipped right out. Received it in great shape in a couple of days.

The device seems great, though I found it difficult to use. It was heavy and I had to use one hand to hold it up while doing the tests. I also found that fitting the phone onto the device in the correct place was challenging. As we are hoping to have 80+ year old women use this device at home to test their own vision for research we are conducting I don't believe this will be super easy for them to use. I also had a serious headache for the rest of the afternoon after using the device, which could have been related to calculating the pupillary distance incorrectly. The device may not be for everyone, but definitely a good idea.

Hello J, Thank you for your review. The Insight is a bit heavier than our other products, considering it is a binocular device and contains more parts/hardware. I noticed that you purchased the Insight Plus, which includes components to convert the Insight into a hands-free device, including a remote; this would help make the issue of having to hold the Insight with one hand while testing a little less cumbersome. Perhaps you can give that a try? In regard to your use of the Insight - did you see double? Did you find yourself moving your head/trying to re-adjust yourself or the Insight in order to see the E's better? If so, that is a sign of an incorrect pupillary distance, and can be why you had a headache afterwards. Please feel free to reach out to our support team if you have any questions.
