The code for my app has never been sent. My reaching out to customer care has never been responded to. My EyeQue is therefore unusable. I will be letting AARP that this company appears to be fraudulent.

Hello DK, Thanks for taking the time to let us know! Other than the email confirmation link (required when you register for an account), our app only requires the device serial number to be accessed & used. The serial number is included in your hardware purchase. We apologize for the delay and will reach out to get more information.

It didn't work for me at all. The results off and not just by slim margins.

Hello Jay, thank you for taking the time to let us know. There is a very interesting process in vision called "accommodation" that is prevalent in users under 40 years of age. This biological process helps you adjust focus when you look at objects far and near, and deteriorates as you age (this is also why people over 40 tend to require reading glasses). When this effect takes place, you receive a much stronger corrective number than needed, which is evident when you compare to a previous vision prescription. The way we instruct our users to combat this effect (in our tutorial video and voice instruction) is to keep the non-testing eye open and focused at an object at least 6 feet away, essentially tricking your brain into "looking into a distance". This process requires some practice and many of our users compare it to seeing the hidden 3-D stereogram images. That said, just like some people cannot see the 3-D stereograms no matter how hard they try, the product does not work for a small portion of the population. We hope you are willing to give our devices another try! If you would like more support, please reach out to us at [email protected]! Thanks again!

Overall my experience was excellent. Customer service, shipment of Try-Glasses, Phoebe the director of Marketing were all above average.

This is so amazing. With the pandemic and quarantine going on I did not really want to have to go to any office. So I ordered the Pvt and the PD check. When they came I took a total of 9 tests on the Pvt and based on those a number was determined which would be considered your prescription. I went to EyeBuyDirect and ordered some glasses for $27 just to be on the safe side in case of an error. My glasses came today and OMG I can see soooooo much better. It's crazy I didn't realize how bad my eyesight had gotten. This is amazing and worth the money.

They try really hard to please, which counts for a lot. They do need to improve some things: 1. The Insight does not produce any numbers useful for ordering glasses. The test consists of guessing which way E's point as they get smaller, until you are guessing blind (literally), 4 at a time, so wild guesses have a 25% chance of being right (unless my math is off). It also tests for contrast vision, also using E's, that fade out stepwise (same issues). And color vision, which does a good job of challenging that. But I already knew I have good color vision. So I sent it back and got a PVT. It will eventually produce numbers you can use, but I'm finding it hard to use. It places red and green bars (at different angles for each iteration), and by tapping +/- buttons on the smartphone screen you bring them into convergence. The problem is that they are not centered, but off to the side, and it takes some english on the eyepiece to even find them; the slightest twitch and one or both of the color bars completely vanish. So trying to tap a screen button and keeping both colors in view is a real chore. With my eyes, the bars are a little curved (and not alike), so they never converge perfectly, so I assume that their best overlay satisfies the test. I haven't yet done the 3 first tests that they average for your first results. The first go was so tiring I had to quit for a while. Time will tell if they report anything like my current prescription, which works well enough. The other thing that needs improving is the clarity of the descriptions on the website. I got the Insight first, thinking it would do everything the lower cost ones would, plus some. Not at all. The PVT does what I wanted, and the VisionCheck is a PVT with remote control and bluetooth, so if you are handy with your hands, the PVT will do. It might ease that twitch problem by taking the select buttons off the phone screen. If you dig deep enough and can translate the argot, you can detect that the PVT and Insight tests do not overlap, but that fact should be right up there in front in plain English: "If you want numbers you can order glasses by, DO NOT get the Insight."

The Try-On glasses I received work great! This is an awesome deal!

The Visioncheck worked very well. After practicing with it, it does take a few times to get comfortable with it, it is very easy to use. Well worth the price.
