Their customer service is tops. They answer your questions quickly and in great detail. I have yet to order glasses, but with the easy to use tests, I will be ordering glasses in the next few weeks. I highly recommend this product and we shall see if their eyeglass numbers the device produces turns into an accurate prescription.

Tried this and then went to an eye doctor (day apart) NOT even close. Don't waste your money.

Hi there, Thank you for your feedback. I'm sorry the PVT did not work for you. After checking your account, I saw that your tests were completed with your phone set at default resolution (386PPI). Setting your screen resolution to maximum (in your case, 511PPI) would produce the best results. If you're willing to make the adjustments, please force close your app, make the adjustments to your screen resolution in your phone's display settings, then return to the app and try testing again. Otherwise, please reach out to our support team at [email protected] to get the return process started.

Seems to work pretty well. I liked the improvement to my distance vision - so much so that I ordered a second pair of trial glasses so I would have a spare. The actual measurement process is pretty fiddley. It took me several attempts before I finally got it right. Not nearly as easy as the website video seems to show. That is why 4 stars instead of 5.

Thank you so much for your review; we appreciate all of the feedback that we receive. The test can be a little aggravating, but the more that you take the test, the easier it should become. We are working on ways to improve and shorten this process, so please be on the lookout.

Wasn't sure how this would work, but my new glasses using the RX provided by my EyeQue work great! Little tricky to get the hang of, but worth it!

A very good product. Well supported. I think the product needs more accuracy. Overall an excellent device for people that have trouble getting to the doc on a regular basis.

While I’m very happy with the ability to test my own vision, I found a few issues with this product. My PV test kit did not work too well with my iPhone 11 Pro - the rubber strap that secures it to the phone covers the phone’s buttons when attached causing unwanted button presses. This makes testing impossible with the strap on. If the software would allow you to flip the phone upside down, this probably wouldn’t be an issue. Until they provide that option, you must be really careful when using the PV tester with an iPhone. The next issue I had was that after doing the required 3 tests, I had one of the three test come out with slightly different results. In my user profile this shows up as two separate vision tests and makes it really difficult to determine which test was the more correct (2/3) one. I suppose, that I’ll need to complete another round of tests to get a better idea of what my numbers are. Another thing that wasn’t clear to me when I purchased the PV kit was the need for a Pupillary Distance (PD) measurement. While there are free apps available to do this, I ended up purchasing the EyeQue PD solution. This turned out to be a lot more accurate than the free apps that I tried. Too bad they didn’t explain this when I bought the PV test kit - I had to wait a few more days to get my PD measurement as a result, which was a little frustrating. Finally, now that I’ve completed the testing process, and have my eyeglass numbers, it’s not very obvious how to order lenses & frames. I found a help page that lists some retailers - apparently some of them will even work with insurance providers, but this area of their app/website could use some work. For a product that claims you can “Order new eyeglasses online anytime”, I was expecting a little more B2B integration with the eyeglass providers. While I’m really happy to be able to test my own vision over time - and the PV kit seems to do what they claim, I found some usability issues with the product. It would also be nice if they spent a bit more time upfront explaining why you might need a PD measurement & how to order glasses once you have your eyeglass numbers (EGNs). While I can appreciate the “Try-On” glasses they will sell you, I’d like to see some real integration with the actual eyeglass retailers.

Dear Kurt, Thank you for your review; we appreciate everyone's feedback on our products. We are working on the strap; with the VisionCheck we moved it from the top of the screen to the middle of the screen since it has the touch sensors on the device. With the PVT, the buttons to control the movement of the lines are on the screen itself so we cannot move the lines to the middle of the screen. We are looking into, with future generations of the product, to have a different way of attaching the device to your smartphone. In regards to the individual results, there will be some variation to the results since it is a self administered test. The real measurement of your eyes are the final EyeGlass Numbers as they are an aggregate of those individual tests. If the test is wildly outside the range of the tightest cluster of testing results, then the application will automatically remove that result. If you focus only on the individual results you won't be getting the real measurement of your eyes, but you could determine whether or not you are near or far sighted if the results are either consistently positive or negative. As for PD, this is definite requirement for ordering a pair of glasses for yourself. Reviewing the application, we could do a much better job of explaining how you can go about obtaining your PD. Within the box there is a note card that advertises our PDCheck, but it's understood that some people would more than likely throw that card away if they weren't sure why it was included. Lastly, the landing page that is provided for ordering glasses will take you to one or two pages. Either you can order our trial Try-On glasses through our store if they meet the requirements we set or you can order them from an online retailer. We don't go through their processes since each is site is different in how they accept the order. We do try to lay out the EGNs so they match the standard, but ordering from each retailer is a little different. In terms of integration, we want to be able to do with retailers, but it is not a short process. We hope that we can have many more relationships with retailers in the future.
