I recently used VSP at a VSP premiere optometrist. I used their sales site (Eyeconic) to purchase contact lenses. I submitted the orders on 12/30, it took until 1/6 to receive an email saying the RX was verified (why does it take 8 days to verify the prescription from the Dr they funneled me to?). I still haven't received the lenses and do not have a status update. The website has not updated the order and I haven't received an email back from my inquiry about it. I don't understand how I could use VSP's closed loop system (insurance, premiere dr for the insurance, VSP commerce site to purchase the final product) and still not have lenses or a eta of when I will receive the lenses at 15+ days after the order was submitted. I will definitely be sure to tell others about this terrible experience and will probably cancel the insurance. I paid $100 to America's Best for 3 years of exams and $25 per box for contacts. I'm paying monthly for VSP insurance, have to pay $30 for a "contact fitting fee" and the contacts are $70-80 per box. A smart person would cancel this and go with America's Best. There is absolutely no value add with VSP and worse, its more expensive and the worst customer experience.

Hi! Thank you for your feedback and we hear your frustrations. In your review you state that you had to pay for a contact lens fitting fee. We compensate VSP doctors for that fitting fee, so there should not be a need for you to pay that out of pocket. Both orders shipped on 1/14/21 you should be getting them fairly soon. If there is any way we can assist you further, please feel free to reach back out.
