Equipment failure for 4 Months with adverse effects to a wounded veteren
I wrote a letter to EoS management in reference to a broken piece of equipment that has been this way for more than 4 months. It also happens to greatly affect a wounded veteran who is paralyzed and bound to a wheelchair. The following is what I sent them: "February 14, 2025 I have been a member of EOS for several years. The facility that I frequent is located on the corner of 59th Avenue and the 101 Highway in Glendale, Arizona. Although my overall experience has been positive, there is a major issue I feel the need to address. A close friend of mine, RJ, who is a Combat Veteran, works out at this same facility. Unfortunately, he is paralyzed from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair. As you can imagine, this brings many limitations to his workouts, but he works hard and gives it his all. However, there has been an unnecessary additional challenge he now deals with. There was only one piece of equipment he could use for his chest, the Pec Deck that has now been broken for around four months. This was the only chest machine that would accommodate his wheelchair. Although this is not a direct violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act, it is insensitive and unnecessary on the part of EOS. I am confident that EOS wishes to make all its members experience positive. However, a piece of equipment being broken for four months is unacceptable and inexcusable, especially when it has such a devastating effect on a young man who is permanently bound to a wheelchair. I know EOS can do better. I am requesting that you expedite the replacement of the Pec Deck in question. I see no logical reason for any further delay. Four months has already been far too long. I am certain that EOS believes 100% effort should be made to accommodate our Disabled Veterans in every way possible, as they have sacrificed so much for us. I am confident that EOS wishes to show our Disabled Combat Veterans how proud and respectful we are of them. As such, replace the Pec Deck within the next week. I greatly appreciate your undivided attention and effort with finally resolving this issue. I look forward to your prompt response." Many members have complained about this same issue. As with them, EoS has chosen to ignore my correspondence. How sad that their lack of action speaks very loudly as to how little they seem to care about our wounded veterans. In my opinion, they are displaying a serious lack of empathy, morals and caring, to say the least. EoS, it is far past time that you replace this piece of equipment.
