I have been an EGO advocate since I bought my first product. My word of mouth has resulted in thousands of dollars of EGO products purchased by myself and acquaintances. My loyalty has been tested and EGO is failing when it comes to warrantying their products. EGO warranty is horrible. I originally spoke with EGO tech on phone back May 2022. She walked me through diagnosis. The diagnosis confirmed 2 EGO batteries are defective. The batteries only lasted about 8 minutes using the blower she asked me to use on turbo. I initially called the batteries in as I was only getting 8-10 minutes use on a trimmer. We also troubleshot the EGO self-winding trimmer. After putting in new line the trimmer just spins without winding in line. I took the trimmer into the dealer they provided. I was charged $112.00 as they found nothing wrong. The trimmer still does the same spinning without winding about 10 % of the time. I have sent over a dozen emails inquiring about next steps for the battery and reimbursement for the warranty work that partially solved the issue. I have yet to receive one response from EGO as they appear to wash their hands and do not provide warranty on their products and leave consumers stranded. During this timeframe I ordered a 42" rider with bagger for over $5500.00, the EGO fan, almost $300.00 and was going to order the self-propelled snowblower. I let EGO know I was returning and not ordering the other items, unless they replay. I have yet to get a reply from EGO.

Every single person I come in contact with will get a negative review of this company because of the issues I’ve had with trying to file a warranty claim on these terrible batteries. I will also go to Google the Better Business Bureau and every single review outlet I can to make sure people are aware of these faulty and terrible products. I have massive influence with a lot of disability so until this company handles this in a better way everything will remain on the Internet from me that is negative. I have bought multiple products from this company and I’ve been treated terribly.

I own several EGO products and was an early adopter of the line when it first came out. I've learned the hard way that EGO products (especially the batteries) lack the power and quality advertised which is not good as buying these pricey EGO products is quite the investment. At the core is the shockingly short life expectancy of their batteries, which many, many customers have repeatedly anguished over. EGO customer support turns a deaf ear to customer requests for help. In fact, customer dissatisfaction is so high regarding the lack of support given, EGO terminated its user community forum for over a year claiming to 'revamp' it. The community forum is back, but EGO support now deletes any customer comments that involve even the slightest disappointment with the product line. Any customer questions are answered by fluff like "sign up for the newsletter and check social media for updates". If a customer presses for an answer, they delete the comment or close the question altogether. Customers are leaving every day for higher quality, dependable brands like Dewalt and Milwaukee who also offer battery powered lines and who know how to respond to customer needs. Furthermore, the business model of EGO is a shifty one. They intentionally advertise products that will not be available for a year or more to build market interest and drive customer willingness to pay more, but that game is over now as the other brands welcome lost customers with open arms. EGO is a ‘take the money and run company’ with the worst customer support on the market and one that downplays how bad the situation really is. EGO customer support is a big, fat zero and the company is just fine with that.

I purchased an EGO string trimmer. I had it 5 weeks and used it twice when it ceased to function. I contacted EGO and they supplied me with the location of the closest repair facility to my location. I had to drive an hour to drop it off. It has now been 3 weeks since that happened. It seems that the unit could not be repaired and a replacement unit was ordered and I could expect it to take another 2 weeks to receive. I contacted customer support and asked if there was anything that could be done to expedite shipment as at this point they have had it as long as I have. Customer service is useless and was basically told nope nothing we can do for you. NEVER EVER again will I purchase an EGO product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm generally happy with Ego products but there is NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT. I bought an Ego leaf blower from Lowes less than a year ago and it just died. Ego has no published email or online way to pursue the warranty and the phone number published is NEVER answered. No matter the day or time of day it always says "higher than normal call volume." I honestly do not believe there is anyone answering the phones or their products must break so often they cannot keep up with the calls. You can leave a message but no one ever calls back. If an Ego product breaks, there is simply no way to pursue the warranty so, basically, there is no warranty.

Bought an Ego lawn mower that came with the 7.5 battery that I bought on EBAY brand new with the supper charger. I have also purchased a blower and a trimmer with each having the 2.5 battery. So after about using the mower 10 times and the big battery dies and would not charge. I called EGO they ran me thought the testing procedures and said yep the battery is no good. So when they looked up the serial number and when I told them I bought it on EBAY they said EBAY is not authorized to sell their products so you have no warrantee. All EBAY said was to file a complaint and that is what I’m doing here. Also should note that HOME DEPOT where I bought my other EGO tools NO LONGER SELLS THEIR PRODUCTS BECAUSE OF SO MANY COMPLAINTS ABOUT EGO NOT HONORING THERE OWN WARRANTEES

I bought the EGO 56V 21in self propelled mower. The battery failed after about 10 minutes the first time I used it. It could/would not take a charge. It took me two days of staying on the phone to get to customer service. After another half hour or so, I was told the battery was no good and EGO would send me a new battery for the mower. That was over month ago and I have not heard from EGO or received a new battery. I spent over $530.00 on this mower and have not yet been able to use it. I would NEVER tell someone to invest in any of EGO's products.
