EffectoReviews of effecto.app

As a spur of the moment purchase, I believe I have made a mistake. I am not finding it of very much use for my personal needs. It feels very generic rather than personal.

Under carefully crafted and very luring advertisement, you are made to believe that this app finally offer help and relief for people with ADHD and focusing issues. Desperate for any such help, I payed for the subscription only to find out that the tool is nothing but a simple event tracker, that sends you a reminder twice a day. If you meticulously track all relevant events in a day, it will correlate them, and that could arguably provide you with somewhat useful information. But for an ADHD person to have the discipline to record all that information is simply ridiculous. There are absolutely *NO* relevant help for ADHD persons in this app. Just look at all the public reviews for this app (as I should have done first). Those are in *stark* contrast to the satisfaction rates the company falsely claims to have. I asked for a refund the same day I bought it, but as this company is deprived of any decency and is solely about taking desperate peoples money, they simply ignored my request. Stay away from this app and this company!!

This company's a scam stay away from it! I joined two nights ago and 8 hours later realized it wasn't even geared towards ADHD and the app was impossible to use. They also charged me for two books that I didn't order. I called them less than 9 hours after I joined to request a refund because I could not use the app it was too difficult for me and it would not be beneficial for me. I sent them four messages three emails and have had no response. I stated I was requesting a refund for the above reasons and at that point the charge had not even been posted to my credit card yet. No one has attempted to get in touch with me when I call their phone number there's no answer or answering machine. So I'm having to dispute it with the bank which will take care of it. How can you claim to be ADHD professionals this is a very sensitive group and your predators and when I had a problem I couldn't even get a human to talk to me. I take billing problems very seriously Not only was I overcharged but I was scammed and taken advantage of. But I'll be getting my money back thanks to my credit card company. My name is Roslyn Jones they should know who I am because I've tried to contact them so much and been ignored.

The app seems insanely complicated at first glance. Had to watch an instructional video just to figure out how to use it. I think it has some potential, it will just take practice to figure out how to make it do what I needed to do. Not sure how it is supposed to help me with distractibility, it is just another distraction, but time will tell I guess.

Seem like a scam

I signed up via a Sponsored Ad. The Ad was rather misleading in presenting Effecto as a 5-Star App, very different to the App Store rating. I can't comment on the efficacy of the App, as I didn't receive a single confirmation of payment / log in information, and have not been able to set up an account inside the App. Contrary to the canned response saying that "as I had logged in and used the App, the sale was final." In response to my requesting log in details or a refund, I got neither. Reading Reviews, the almost universal feedback indicates this is a cynically market low-rent health tracker, which is targeting the recent spike in interest in ADHD, with operational methods which map perfectly to capitalise on the effects of ADHD and ADHD-like tendencies. I have waited the required 15 days to flag this transaction with my bank, and am now going down that route. I have also complained to the App Store, as the operational model excludes them from the usual protections and assurances, plus I'm sure the % which should be paid to the App Store. I was promised a Customer Support response within 4 hours. It's been almost 2 weeks. This is nothing short of a scam.

Aggressive guilt tripping marketing emails… I quote: Titled “Response Required”: “I wanted to give one last shout out because I've put quite a bit of work to prepare the anti-ADHD tools and resources for you” The day before I’d had these scare tactics: “I noticed you didn't claim your personalized ADHD management plan yet, so I wanted to let you know we're going to shelve it soon to make room for other users. In other words, your plan is going away.” “I'd like to hear it from you...Do I have your permission to toss your plan in the bin?” I have never received marketing quite like it and was not surprised to see the low reviews. Sometimes people don’t have time, busy lives and ADHD makes people less organised at deciding on signing up to things. Or you may just not be interested, and that’s okay.

This App is a waste of your money and time. Free apps provide these services. CON... You decide you're going to purchase the app and then they offer other services for additional fees but never allow you to preview or order it go automatically through without you ever seeing the total price of your purchase...$300 later and you cancel immediately they won't refund because they send your "personalized" package immediately. Well mine arrived 3 weeks later after they refused to refund my money. The only personalized anything about it is the names of my medications that I added. I have an alarm set on my phone and pill organizer(costs me nothing) and have managed to take my pills daily. Total total scam and con
