Seems like a scam. Five transactions totalling £190 that I have not approved. I have never heard of this app or received any services from this company.

Difficult to cancel

Very unhappy with the experience I had. After the first day of using the app I already knew that it was not exactly what I was looking for, and I attempted to cancel the subscription. Nevertheless, I couldn't find ANY information about the active subscription in my Google Play account, so I assumed that this was a one-time payment and I didn't expect it to be recurrent. I would have cancelled the subscription earlier if I could find it and if I realized that I am subscribed. YOU CANNOT FIND ANY INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR SUBSCRIPTION anywhere - not in the app, nor in Google Play, nor on their website. Neither can you find the date, when your subscription payment is due! To cancel it, you have to contact the technical support team by email. I am absolutely convinced that they hid the option of cancelling the subscription on purpose, and I am not even sure if it is legal in Europe.

Do not touch this company. They bill you six months later for a subscription fee and don't actually give you anything for it. I haven't used the app for six months and have not received anything from them and yet they've taken nearly £50.00 subscription fee and are refusing to refund it. Disgraceful and unprofessional company. DO NOT TOUCH. This offer for me to email them, resulted in their same disgrace, rude and unprofessional comments. I would reiterate DO NOT TOUCH. I've told them that I am going to report them to Trading Standard and BBC Watchdog and I suggest any of you that are also not happy with their underhand way of scamming money out of unsuspecting people, do the same.

This app is awful. Not productive at all, just a bunch of trackers asking you to journal everything. No way to set your own tasks to improve your productivity. No refund even though I have told them it's useless and I have had it only 18 hours and already know I won't use it as their is no " pay off" for doing so. No achievements. No way of adding any sort of personalised information, reminders or tasks. You have to email to cancel, they could just lock you out the app and give the refund - but no. They are targeting ADHD profile people and have no intention of actually helping them.

AVOID SUBSCRIBING AT ALL COSTS!! I accidentally subscribed after forgetting to cancel a free trial (classic adhd tax problem). When I emailed to request a refund they fobbed me off saying they were referring me to a ‘senior’ customer service agent who I obviously never heard from and eventually forgot about it (again due to adhd). They did however confirm they had cancelled my subscription by email. A year later and with no notice I have been charged for this app again without my consent. I am absolutely furious as I know it will be impossible once again to get them to give me my refund even though they had cancelled this subscription. Overall I feel this company relies on being able to take advantage of the classic symptoms of people with adhd to make money. From the little I saw of the app in my free trial period it was hugely confusing and not at all user friendly. Save your money and go to a company that actually wants to help people with adhd rather than take advantage of them for money!!

I downloaded the app and payed for one month. Personally, I don't like the app that much, I don't find it intuitive to use. I would therefore like to cancel it again, but I can't get in touch with customer service. I sent emails yesterday and the day before yesterday and received an automatic reply, but no other response. That's why I'm trying this way now, as I can see that there is a consistent response here. Please explain to me how I can cancel other than via the email address helpateffecto-app

I saw this advertised on FB and I signed up to try for one week and paid just over $10 which was affordable. I used the app but it wasn’t as intuitive or useful for me. WARNING: read the T&Cs carefully, product and service subscription details are not clear or transparent in up front advertisements I was charge the following week $47 for an ongoing subscription. I cancelled this immediately and requested a refund. Effecto were in-flexible on their NO refund policy and un-empathetic and impersonal quoting clauses from the T&Cs. I would not have purchased if I had realised this, seems Effecto rely on time poor, everyday people who just want to try things to help them get by! Disappointed at poor customer service and way of dealing with unitenend subscriptions due to deceitful advertising!
