I wish I could give a zero or a -10 star review. I was going to use Easyship to send a package, but the verification process didn't work. Before I could complete the process, they had already charged my credit card for the shipment. I decided not to use their service at all. Then, 9 days later, I discover the charge for the shipment on my credit card statement. When I contacted customer service, they told me I couldn't get a refund without completing the verification process. Well, I finally managed to do that, only to find a few hours later that they rejected my verification. Now they've charged my card for a service I never used and never will use, and apparently, I have no way to get it back. This is so ridiculous. It's no big deal to reverse a charge to my card; that's all they'd need to do to settle this matter.
Update - 3 days later. Easyship refunded my money in full, so I'm happy about that. I changed my rating from zero stars to 2 stars. However, I still think they really need to change their process. They should make sure the verification process goes through first, BEFORE charging your card. This would have avoided this whole mess.

Slimy identity verification policy and proof of package weight/dimensions means nothing to EasyShip
I've shipped packages for over 40 years, including thousands of eBay sales, and carefully check packing, dimensions and weight. In January 2026, I opened Easyship, Rollo and Shippo accounts to compare services. By August 9, I'd shipped nine packages through Easyship, mostly to family.
THE GOOD: Easyship is usually the cheapest or among the cheapest I've checked, with flexible options: 5 stars for pricing. Its powerful interface is overkill for my occasional shipments: 3–4 stars for usability.
IDENTITY VERIFICATION AND DISCLOSURE: 1 STAR
On June 29, after I'd purchased just five domestic shipping labels for family members, Easyship emailed that I must verify my identity through Persona, using a government-issued photo ID and mobile phone, to continue shipping. This requirement was NOT clearly disclosed to me before signup. Despite previous negative experiences with Persona, I complied because I believed I'd otherwise lose access.
Easyship cites account security and “compliance with global shipping regulations,” but doesn't identify a specific U.S. law requiring an occasional purchaser of domestic labels to submit government ID to a third party. I haven't found such a requirement. A private company may set anti-fraud conditions, but I consider this demand UNACCEPTABLE AND UNJUSTIFIABLE without a clear explanation of its necessity and full, prominent disclosure BEFORE signup. I also found no published five-shipment threshold; five is simply how many labels I'd bought when the demand arrived. Had the requirement been plainly disclosed, I might never have joined. After what happened next, I deeply regret providing such sensitive information.
A CAREFULLY MEASURED PACKAGE—THEN A DISPUTED UPS CHARGE
On August 9, my wife shipped a box using a UPS Ground Saver label I bought through Easyship. She repeatedly measured it at 15 × 15 × 12 inches and weighed it at about 16.5 pounds. She photographed the dimensions; the UPS Store also checked the package at drop-off. The dimensional weight was 17 pounds.
The package arrived August 14 badly crushed, with a gaping hole in its side. On September 8, Easyship emailed me an additional charge of $22.93. I disputed it (request #1411905), supplying three photos taken on shipping day showing the original dimensions.
On September 17, Easyship support relayed UPS's claim that its in-transit audit measured the box at 17 × 16 × 13 inches—an entirely different size—resulting in 22 pounds of dimensional weight and an $18 “Non-Standard Cube” fee. UPS cited a $27.08 correction, although Easyship billed $22.93. I explicitly requested a formal dispute and asked UPS to produce photos supporting its claimed measurements.
On September 24, Easyship replied that UPS had rejected the dispute because its electronic scanners were calibrated daily and its audit results were supposedly valid. No UPS photos were provided, and my evidence of the original measurements was not meaningfully addressed. Calibration alone doesn't explain why the audit differed from my photographs. The box arrived crushed; any later measurement should have been examined in that context.
WHERE WAS EASYSHIP'S CUSTOMER ADVOCACY? 1 STAR
Easyship can't control UPS, but should challenge questionable charges when a customer supplies photographic evidence. Instead, after weeks of slow replies, support repeated UPS's position, leaving me without effective recourse.
I use the free plan because I may ship only 10–25 packages a year. A $29/month subscription makes no sense at that volume, although I'd consider reasonable pay-as-you-go pricing. Free-plan customers still deserve fair treatment.
OVERALL: 1 STAR. Competitive rates mean little when I have to submit sensitive ID information without clear advance disclosure, and when a carrier can impose disputed charges without meaningful support from Easyship. I cannot recommend Easyship based on this experience.

Genuinely transformative, wish I found it sooner
I came here to write a positive review as I'm blown away by how great it is, and shocked to see all the reviews. Did I get a different company? Easyship is incredible & 1000% earned a review. I wish I had found it 5 years ago as my workflow shipping goods for my online store has been transformed and with good value for money too.
Everything has been faultless, the software works well, it takes lots of time off my packing and at the post office, and the one time I needed customer support, it was also fantastic - prompt, proactive, human and definitely keen to achieve customer success. I assume a lot of reviews are collateral damage due to failure of actual couriers (not Easyship) but as someone who has a clothing retail website I have found it transformative.

I have been using Easyship for about…
I have been using Easyship for about two months now for U.S. domestic and international shipments. here is the good and the bad so far:
The Good: Rates are competitive, and the platform is decent and easy to navigate.
The bad: Service is horrible. I have two tickets open for support now; it has been 2 weeks and nobody has replied or resolved my issue. No way to order carrier supplies or receive tracing support for late shipments. Plus, most of the useful features require upgrades and yearly prepayments.
Will not recommend this service, as there are way better alternatives for your money.

Waiting for $2,159.78 for 6 months
Waiting for $2,159.78 for 6 months. Despite hundreds of back-and-forth support tickets, I am always told that the Finance dept is refunding soon and that it's been escalated. Finally, 3 weeks ago, someone from Finance called and said I would get the refund within 2 to 3 business days. It's been over 3 weeks now, and the refund still hasn't come. The account still shows my balance sitting there. It's my money, and it was taken out of my debit card without my authorization, saying there was a UPS weight issue for 11 boxes. What? Over $2,000 in overweight charges for 11 small shipping boxes - also, it was a shipment that was over 7 to 8 months old, which they charged me. It took me 3 months of fighting with them to get that money back to my account balance, only to discover they disconnected UPS and all other couriers, but gave my balance back. It's my money, wrongfully taken, then literally sits in an account I can't use it all.

Negative Review for Easyship
Negative Review for Easyship
1/5 stars – Paid in full (including insurance), package returned with zero explanation, and still no refund after over a month.
Over a month ago I used Easyship to ship a package from Tampa, FL to Lusaka, Zambia. I paid in full for the service, and the package was insured. The package was shipped to Easyship via USPS as instructed, after which it was supposed to be forwarded and delivered to Lusaka.
For no reason and with no explanation, the package was simply returned to the shipper—despite the insurance coverage. I repeatedly asked why it was returned and received no answer. After weeks of this, I requested a refund for the complete lack of service.
To this date there has been no resolution. Every response is the same: “they are looking into it.” I’ve been told the issue was escalated to management, yet nothing has changed. No explanation for the return, no refund, no insurance claim resolution, and no meaningful follow-up.
I paid for a service (and insurance) that was never provided and have been left in limbo with canned replies. Avoid Easyship if you need reliable international shipping and actual customer support.

Definitely an unethical company...
Definitely an unethical company...
All kinds of hidden charges, inflated "subscription" and various other "bait and switch" methods. Should definitely be shut down by any honest government.

0 stars if I could.

My experience with Easyship has been an absolute nightmare.
I purchased international shipping through Easyship specifically because they are supposed to handle the logistics between the shipper and courier. Instead, I have spent weeks trying to untangle customs charges, incorrect or missing tariff classifications, unexplained adjustments, and charges taken from my account while those charges were actively being disputed.
Two FedEx shipments were later hit with CA$249.37 in additional tax and duty charges. When I asked Easyship what HS/HTS classifications were actually used to calculate those charges, they initially could not even identify the shipments associated with the adjustment.
Once they finally identified them, Easyship confirmed that the shipments had been submitted simply as “Jewelry” with no HS code shown. One of those shipments was actually held by FedEx because the description provided was insufficient to classify the product, forcing me to personally provide FedEx with the product composition and customs information needed for clearance.
I opened a support case specifically because I believed the tariff classifications used on these shipments were incorrect and wanted the customs entries reviewed and corrected.
While that dispute was still unresolved, and while Easyship still had not provided me with the final HS codes, customs entries, courier invoices, or duty calculations I repeatedly requested, Easyship charged my account anyway.
They charged CA$340.73 in total:
- CA$162.49 tax/duty adjustment on one disputed shipment
- CA$86.88 tax/duty adjustment on another disputed shipment
- CA$91.36 for a separate shipment Easyship says was “sent despite being cancelled,” which I am now also having to dispute
Their own support subsequently apologized that the charge had been completed while my customs classification concerns remained unresolved and escalated the matter to a specialist.
That does not give me back the time I have spent chasing information that should have been available before money was taken from my account.
The most frustrating part is the support loop. I ask a specific question such as “What HS code did FedEx actually use to calculate this duty?” and receive responses telling me that the charge came from customs. I know it came from customs. The entire point of the ticket is determining whether customs was given the correct classification in the first place.
I run a very small handmade business. Surprise charges of several hundred dollars matter. I should not need to become my own customs broker, investigate courier records, calculate Easyship’s invoices myself, and repeatedly escalate tickets just to understand why Easyship is taking money from my account.
At this point I have very little confidence in Easyship’s billing, customs handling, or dispute process.
If you are a Canadian small business shipping internationally, document absolutely everything, save every commercial invoice, double-check every HS code yourself, and do not assume an Easyship quote is the final cost. in my experience the running around is not worth to 10% discount.
