ZERO STARS: DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH DRIVEGO
SERIOUSLY THIS IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY: Transcript of the chat when they gave me less than 30 days cancelling the agreement for no reason: This decision was made as a last resort, after considering all other options. Our company, like many others, is grappling with significant economic factors, including the ongoing inflationary environment and escalating interest rates. These factors have adversely affected our ability to provide services in the manner we have been. Our top priority has always been to deliver quality service to our customers, and in the present circumstances, maintaining the subscription model would compromise that commitment. To protect both our customers and the long-term sustainability of the company, we felt this course of action was necessary. from me: but why only some customers, what is the threshold / condition that put me in this condition. I already scrambled to get the insurance in place, and now this from me: and why are you taking new customers but cancelling existing ones? T from Terri: This is widespread and there is not a specific issue. from me: are you going out of business or just jacking up prices ? T from Terri: We are not going out of business. from me: so what is the problem then, I was expecting to keep this car for 3 years and have 1000 miles banked from me: that was the agreement from me: and what are my alternatives? from Terri: You have the option to purchase the vehicle at wholesale pricing. from me: and what is the wholesale price quote for my vehicle it was not provided from Terri: That is something we can request for you. from me: and why not offer a new agreement with different pricing if that is the issue "current economic environment" etc etc from Terri: I am not sure of the answer, but that is not an option GO is providing. from me: if you are not going out of business. I think these vehicles are being recalled by the manufacturer as the bill was not paid due to SVB collapse from me: and consumers are left holding your bag from me: a little transparency would go a long way, and so far this is totally opaque from Terri: I want to assure you that our company, GO, is not going out of business. Our decision to suspend the current subscription service is driven by the challenging economic circumstances, particularly the ongoing inflation and rising interest rates. This step is a part of our strategic plan to adapt and manage these economic pressures efficiently while continuing to offer valuable services to our customers. We are working hard on developing and exploring new business models and strategies that will allow us to continue delivering high-quality services. The alternative options offered in our previous communication - including the opportunity to purchase vehicles at wholesale prices and promising discounts for future services - are part of our ongoing commitment to serve our customers' needs.
Response from GOJun 30, 2023
This unfortunately affected a portion of our current customers. The reason for this may not matter, but we wanted to share nonetheless: Interest rates have risen sharply over the past 18 months which, unfortunately, created excessive negative cash flow for a portion of our fleet. It was not an easy decision, and one that saddens all of us, but necessary to ensure the long-term outlook of our company. We set out to provide customers an exponentially better offering and experience than the status quo, but we failed you. GO is in a strong position to grow, and we hope to eventually earn back your trust in the future.
