I was assaulted at the Dollar Tree at 65-400 Bayfield St, Barrie, ON L4M 5A1. Caught someone opening the products and eating them. I let the employee know and I went back to my son then this crazy person came from another area and got in my face yelling and spitting at me. I took a step back yelling stop spitting on me and I put my hand in front of my face and she struck me but I blocked it with my hand and moved back as she went for another hit. But I got out of the way and now my back is against the products so nowhere to go and this person yelling spitting and hitting and the employee April Turner is just standing there behind the woman. I said she assaulted me and please call the cops. What does the employee do? NOTHING then goes checks out the person instead of calling the police which by then I asked at least 3 times. Then she starts arguing with me the employee that is as well as the crazy woman. So I started recording. I heard from a person Shane Wilson that called me back when I left a message at Head Office for Dollar Tree he seemed to listen and told me he was going to make changes at that store and that he would call me back when it happens. He called saying that there was a scheduling issue and that it was to happen the next week and that he would call me back. I never heard back. So a person gets assaulted in their store in front of their 8-year-old son and they do nothing.

7020 Stockton Blvd I was a very disappointed after knowing the store closes at 9pm And when I walked through the front door it was only 8:30 I was informed that the store was closed. I asked the cashier what time they close, she said right now.. I asked again " what time do you guys close" she said 9:00. In confusion due to the fact that it was only 8:30 another cashier informed me that they closed all the registers.. In short if the store closes at 9:00 they should close at 9:00 I arrived at 8:30 and still was turned away.. so I'm not sure what time the store actually closes

Cashier had light on so i was standing in line waiting to check out. As soon as it was my turn to check out she/he turned off light and walked away not saying anything. Break time??? Very rude, went over started stocking shelves. 🤬 Arcata, Calif store

I visit Dollar Tree regularly because there’s a location less than three miles away. I didn’t enter a single Dollar Tree until 1999. It just wasn’t a place I shopped or had any interest in patronizing. Man, did I miss out! The ladies who staff the nearby store are always kind and helpful. The store, although cluttered, is easy to navigate. I ALWAYS go for cleaning products and toilet paper first! Then I check the gadgets, plastic products and then I check new dishes and I end up in the kitchen supply area. I could spend the night there! All those ‘things’ hanging from the sky! Now I have bought almost everything on that wall, but there’s always one more thing. Today (Wednesday when I was there) I am looking for new dish towels and there is a plethora of Holiday themed towels, but I see a design that I must have. They are turquoise green with yellow designs. I get four and I head to checkout. When I reach the front of the store, I see a long line of ‘cheap-Christmas-gift-customers’ snaking down one of the aisles. Only one register is staffed and I start to frown. Just as I start to lay my things down, someone pages and like magic the door to the office opens and two young ladies clad in green shirts and jeans sprint to open checkout aisles! My day is saved! I was glad to see those ladies come out, because not many people want to work at a store like Dollar Tree. I wish there were more young people that would bring their youth and vitality to this warm place to come. And what about young guys?!? These little old ladies have to stock this place too! Where are the ‘first teenage job people like existed when I was 16? Well, it IS a new day, I guess, but there’s always a chance that something old can add something new in a way that change comes and tradition continues.

If I could rate them negative 1000 stars, I would. I have reached out to their customer service on 4 different occasions to get confirmation of my original complaint. I have not received an email or phone call back. They need to retrain their employees, clean and organize their stores, and update their policies (especially since they've increased the prices.)

Store #1115 The managers Avonda, Monica and Paula are GREAT !!!! I see them stocking and trying to keep the store clean !! But the district managers and the owners are HORRIBLE they don’t care about there employees because if they did they would do better by them!!! Now i see why the dollars trees have such a HIGH turn over in Employees and Managers … I have been in dollar tree several times and ONLY the manager was working and no one else….. this is unsafe !! if you all cared you would not let the store operate like that …. I just recently experience this again on Thursday December 9, 2022 … No store should operate like that …. How are the managers getting breaks or relieving themselves to go to the bathroom ?? From what i was told the district manager name is Tony …. when you have a complaint I was told he don’t have time to talk and will give you a date when he could talk to you but only 30 minutes of his time ! MR. TONY without your CASHIER your dollars trees stores will eventually FAIL … and your store MANAGERS will get burnt out if they not already .TONY treat your employees like you would want YOURSELF to be Treated I saw these Managers work thru Covid along with the cashiers ! GREAT JOB Avonda ,Monica and Paula on trying to keep the store together with NO cashiers… me as a customer see ALL your EFFORT

I recently purchased tea lights, 3 to a pack $1.25. ,12 in total. 3 did not work. Since they were open, no refunds and no 3 pack in stock for exchange. I was not offered a discount since I had to settle for a 2 pack. Of course, same price. The clerk was so smart??? She didn't understand I was losing on the exchange. And now no new receipt if the new pkg is bad. She could have given me two 2 packs and charged me for the extra light. Guess you get what you hire! Needless to say, $tree is not on my list of shopping locations any longer.

I wish I could leave zero stars. Last night my friend and I were having girl time browsing through dollar tree looking for Christmas ideas and purchasing items like gift bags and treats . We were ha8a good time. Typical female shopping picking up things & changing our minds and putting stuff back. Well we go to the register to check out. She had spent close to $30 and I purchased quite a bit at $40. As we leave the store approaching my vehicle around the corner I am approached by a female police officer. I was startled as it was around 845 pm dark and unexpected. On the passenger side my friend is approached my a male police officer. Then 2 more male officers appear. They begin to question us asking if we had a receipt. I replied yes ma'am and at this point I'm getting a bit upset wondering what is happening. I proceeded to hand her my receipt and I angrily toss my bags onto my car for her to see everything. EVERYTHING I PURCHASED AND SHOWED THE POLICE OFFICER WAS IN FACT LISTED ON MY RECEIPT. She acknowledged that yes in fact I had paid for EVERY ITEM I WALKED OUT OF STORE WITH. I must add that I had not even had a chance to get into my vehicle so again I had my bags for all to show. As on the other side of my vehicle the same thing is occurring to my friend. Our driver license were checked and the police officer responded back to his superior that "These ladies are clear" . We had nothing extra that wasn't on our receipt. This was very embarrassing and very disrespectful. The police officers ALL 4 of them were very apologetic to us and could clearly see & verify that we had no done anything unlawful. Oh wait " we had items in our cart that decided we didn't want and PUT BACK ON SHELF WHERE IT BELONGED. THE last I was aware of it wasn't against the law to change our minds about wanting to not buy something. I was so embarrassed I didn't even want the stuff after such a terrible experience but I kept it. The woman police officer was very kind and said to me " you aren't banned from store, and she wouldn't blame me if I wanted to do a refund. I said no I just wanted to keep MY PAID FOR ITEMS and leave. They said we were free to go and apologized to my friend and I. What was supposed to be a fun evening with my friend turned into the worst night ever. Not that this means anything but I suffer from SEVERE ANXIETY DISORDER and have awful panic attacks. I had to take my prescription Valium plus an extra to calm my nerves. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT DOLLAR TREE AGAIN. And I happen to be a frequent shopper. Lost a good paying customer. And let me say word of mouth goes far. My friend and I will not choose Dollar Tree to spend our money. No way in hell will I enter a Dollar tree I'd rather pay extra then experience such POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Dollar Tree really should be ashamed of how they treated two middle age white women out doing some fun holiday shopping. And let me add both of us our recent widows so even attempting a holiday shopping trip wasn't easy for either of us. Thank you for hearing my experience and I pray you revisit your policies.
