I was charged for a subscription I never signed up for. No email or anything from them until I was charged and they would not refund the money. I’ve had info in 3 data breaches over the past year or so. I’ve had to recover accounts and change passwords to be able to get in the accounts to clear up. Ridiculous!!

Hi there! We're so sorry to hear you're dealing with this. Dollar Flight Club would never obtain your information maliciously. If you're concerned that this is another data breach it sounds like it may be an issue that your bank should handle. Again, we apologize for any issue from this but this does not sound like it was an error on our end. -The DFC Team

They offer initial discount price and then charge a higher price non-refundable renewal! Be careful when dealing with this company and any company that have a no refund policy!

Hi! We're happy to explain this and apologize that you've had a negative experience. The initial promotions are meant for basic members, new members, or returning members to have a chance to sign up at a discounted price to check out the service. We do make it clear when signing up that this will renew for the regular cost of the membership in year 2. We cannot manage accounts on client's behalf. We're happy to assist in anyway we can but to avoid being charged for the second year, the account needs to be canceled. We'd be happy to take a closer look at your account if you would like to message us at [email protected] and reference this review. -The DFC Team

update from the response below: @dollarflightclub - your customer service reps have already looked at my account and refused to cancel and refund, my review below was AFTER trying for several emails with your reps. Thanks for the offer here to save face when you clearly don't mean you'll do anything... Original review: Don't sign up if you ever want to cancel! I noticed that my membership auto-renewed on the day I was charged and reached out asking to be refunded as I didn't see value in the subscription. They gave me a run-around and options of next year free instead, then told me they wouldn't refund because they email customers ahead of time. I found the email they sent and it was from "Jesse" their founder, and had no mention of renewing in the subject line or header of the email, you had to scroll to see it... feels very intentionally misleading if you ask me!

Hello, We're sorry to hear about your negative experience. We apologize for the frustration here. Our plans are auto renewed unless otherwise canceled by the account holder. We do make this clear in our terms of use that clients are expected to manage their accounts. This is the norm with any subscription based service. We do value all feedback and as a young company are always aiming to improve our process. We'd be happy to take another look at your account if you would like us to. Please email us at [email protected] and reference this review. Once again, we apologize for the frustration. -The DFC Team

I opened a membership with the Dollar Flight Club and as part of opening the membership, I was asked to put in my card details. I tried activating the Premium Lifetime Plan using a voucher that I just purchased, and I got charged 159 USD even though I was clearly shown that the price is 0 after inserting the voucher. That clearly shows that the code does not work, and not only that I paid 39USD to StackSocial for a false code, but I also lost 159 USD that has been taken by Dollar flight Club from my account. Yet, Dollar flight Club refuses to refund me after being mislead and double charged.

Hello, We apologize for the confusion on this. In this instance it sounds like the redemption code from stack social was not applied to the account. We ALWAYS take care of billing errors like this and happily refund clients when they provide us proof of purchase from Stack Social. If you could email us again at [email protected] we'd be happy to take another look at your account. -The DFC Team

I've received 6 "deals" all of which I easily could've found on my own, I actually found better deals. You can get the same thing for free setting up a price alert on google flights. I wanted a refund after two weeks but they refuse. They also won't prorate any of the fee. Would not recommend at all.

Kelly, We're sorry to hear you're not happy with the product. Our aim is to take the stress of finding deals out of your hands and also bring deals to locations you may have never considered. We're sorry that you've not enjoyed the product and we're always aiming to improve. We hope that you can get some use out of your membership. -The DFC Team

DO NOT BOTHER!! DFC does not offer any deals (ridiculous to even call them that) that are worth while and their ‘renewal’ process and policies are unethical and close to theft. They charged me on Thanksgiving day, at 5 am I requested a cancellation of the service and a refund. The say their refund policy will not allow a refund but they can offer a year free… after the one they charged me for. Why would I want to continue a useless service with a company that makes money off of sneaky practices? Don’t bother with them, there are no deals, discounts, or benefits it’s $70 you could spend on… a plane ticket!

Scotts Cheap Flights is a better service for a better price. They deliberately don’t remind you when your plan is about to renew and the customer service perspective seems like they need the money and don’t care about the customer. It would be easy enough to refund one day into a subscription considering it isn’t a product, just an email, but they won’t. They are about profit not people. Stay away!

Brandi, We apologize that you're having an issue with our product. We do everything that we can to make sure renewal information is as obvious as possible. This includes confirming this at your initial sign up, confirming this in your initial welcome email, as well as we send renewal notices one month before your upcoming renewal. Unfortunately, we cannot manage accounts on a client's behalf. Client's are the ones who must cancel their account to avoid being charged for the renewal. We'd love to take a look more thoroughly at what happened here if you could reference this review and email [email protected] Once again, we apologize for any issue or confusion and hope you have a Happy Holiday. -The DFC Team
