Great website. Super Helpful
The website is very helpful to connect me with service providers in my area. Sometimes the map function is off so it's always best to confirm location with the provider prior to booking.

It was easy to find a great sitter. We feel assured that our dog will get the best of care while we are away. Our first dog had medical needs and required insulin shots. Dog vacay was able to pair us up with a former vet tech. Our new pup needed some one who enjoyed the activity level of a young pup. It has worked out great. We always tell fellow owners about dog vacay!!

Dogvacay does everything I don't want to do...such as billing, advertising, setting up a great website...covering insurance. All I have to do is take care of my clients. It has been a wonderful experience. Dogvacay takes the worry out of 'what ifs" as they are there for you.

I won't sugar coat this review, I've had my issues with DogVacay, but as a growing company and as I learn how they operate and how quickly they adapt and make changes vs. just telling sitters this is how it is and deal with it. They make an honest effort to accommodate and treat each sitter as an individual / business partner and it shows in everything they do, from ultra fast response times to urgent questions to making exceptions that allow me to provide flawless service to my customers. I think as our relationship grows things will only get better. They seem to value feedback and can admit to system limitations and are constantly updating hosts and making updates to their customer / host experience as well as their technology platform. Things that other similar sites 'overlook' for the sake of earnings, DogVacay makes every effort to make this the premier service for honesty, safety and mutually beneficial venture for everyone involved. I appreciate their commitment to protect the community, image and reputation. It can not be an easy undertaking with a company that is growing and expanding exponentially, but absolutely 5 + stars to the key members of the DogVacay corporate team. If you are an honest, animal lover, there is no other service I would recommend using for your PetCare business. I've used another large service and can tell you while they have a few more bells and whistles and more marketing money, but at the end of the day it's all about the care and love of our guests furry loved ones. DogVacay is the ONLY service where that is their number 1 priority. I'm excited to see what the future holds, I'm sure there's lot's of wonderful new offerings in the pipeline and I hope to be a top sitter for many years to come.

I have been a host for DogVacay for over 18 months and I find the service and staff to be excellent and always helpful when I need help or advice. The staff is always courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable and they are eager to help me resolve any issues I might have from a cancelled reservation to a home-sick pup. They have really helped me grow my business and be successful as a host. I highly recommend DogVacay to anyone looking to become a host or looking to board their pup when they need to be away. All around, I have had an awesome experience and look forward to hosting pups through them for a long time to come.

Guest basically lied about dog's training (including pooping in the house) and their ability to be with other dogs (was stress-induced aggressive) Thats not the issue, I went through the proper process to deal with it. Or TRIED to. Let me be clear this is on top of having the stress of contacting the family who owns the dog about what was going on when they were about to get on a plane to go out of country. I promised them the best help I could get, but I guess I promised too much. Called three times to finally get him re-homed for safety of all dogs, they told the other person the dog was too hyper for me. If the other person had not asked me for more details while we were confirming the transfer, they would have taken a dog too stressed to be around other dogs while away from home and put them with even MORE dogs. Now I have to keep him over night, I have no idea how that's going to work. Every time I move and let go of his leash (yes, I have been forced to keep him short leashed indoors and ruin my night) he flips out and goes after my own dog. The 'help' person on the call was very much rushing me and trying to convince me to keep them. I don't care if its christmas or whatever this is a safety concern and your staff doesn't seem care. You say on your site you help on holidays so get with it. They kept talking about how they were going home and thats all they could do until the morning (24 hours ring a bell? give me to somebody else who will be there.) As well she kept cutting me off and I didn't even get to tell her all of the issues the dog was giving me, obviously she was assuming things by what she told the new host. I only got a chance to tell her about the aggression she wouldn't let me get any word in otherwise, so I had to tell the next host myself about the complete lack of training. I have a lifetime of experience with dogs, up to 5 at a time (including one very muscular 130 pound mutt.) I actively volunteer at the SPCA as well handling dogs. I can handle energetic. This is unacceptable. I was begrudgingly accepting the 15-20 PERCENT service fee (making my income nonexistent) because I assumed it went to hiring the 24/7 help line and providing quality assistance. Now that has been proven inaccurate, I highly suggest people either go on without using the service or find another one.

Hello Alexandra, First and foremost, we sincerely thank you for taking the time to write such an honest and detailed review. I am so sorry to hear you did not feel supported by our Customer Care team, but we appreciate your candid feedback on our Customer Care support hours. While we do offer 24/7 support, during the late night hours we have a blended team of DogVacay Associates working on cases and a support team whom, if the other associates are on another call, answers and quickly takes a message for us to return to ensure we are handling all contacts. If it's an emergency they will then be able to reach out to have our Trust and Safety team get involved if need be. If the call is not an emergency, you may hear back from us that same night via email and/or by phone early the next morning. Please know, we completely understand what a burden this can be, and I can assure you that we are dedicated to creating a wonderful experience for our pets and community members, and we truly value every single one of our Hosts, and the efforts you put into each and every Vacay. With that said, we encourage our Hosts to always contact us if ever struggling with an aggressive pup, as you did and we will be more than happy to support you in order to help alleviate any situation. Additionally, to help uncover any expected pup behaviors during a stay, in addition to conducting Meet-n-Greets, I highly recommend having potential Guests fill out our Meet-n-Greet Form and/or our Vacay Guide prior to the Vacay. These forms are located in our Host Resource Center. Both forms ask various questions that can be extremely helpful in uncovering expected behaviors that Guest's may not always be upfront about from the beginning. We again, thank you for your feedback and for being a wonderful Host in the DogVacay Community! Sending our best and continued support, DogVacay
