The reason I didn't give it five stars, was because my first reservation did not work out. The pet sitter didn't show up for the meet and greet, and I wasn't able to leave feedback either, which I feel others needed to know. My second reservation for the same week, turned out wonderful. The dogs were well taken care of and they had a nice big fenced yard to play in.

Cindy was great for the second time. I have 2 bigger dogs that are very energetic and she handled them with no problem. She has a great set up at her house and really knows her stuff about dogs. She was even kind enough to give us some tips for training our dogs.

Had to cancel due to job moving dates. Was not aware of a cancellation fee. Even though it is small, it is the principle. Will not be using DogVacay again. The host did wave the stay fee, it was the 'non-refundable Trust and Safety fee' that DogVacay charged that I am talking about.

Hello, Kent - Thank you for taking the time to express your feelings in regards to our Hosts' cancellation policies. Each Host has the ability to set their cancellation policies to one they feel best suits their services. However, they also have the ability to waive those fees and provide their Guests with a full refund, minus any applicable fees. If anything were to ever occur that would prevent your pup from going on Vacay, make sure you tell your Host and ask if they are willing to waive their policy due to the unexpected circumstances. A high percentage of our Hosts will waive their policies in understanding. I do apologize for the frustration that you have experienced, and hope you will be open to the idea of your pup enjoying a Vacay in the future. Thank you!

Dogvaycay is exactly the piece of mind we need to enjoy ourselves while we are away! We have booked twice now and have greatly enjoyed our time away without worrying about our pup. Booking and paying is super easy, and the sitters send regular photo updates of all of the adventure our pup has while on his own vaycay. We will definitely be booking again soon!
