IQ Pet long term review
Bought the IQ Pet in June 2015. Has worked great until now. But there is room for improvement: 1st the collar receiver is not water proof. I've had to open it up three times and dry it out in rice after my dog waded around on the shore with it on. It's not a difficult process as there are 4 easily accessible screws. To Dogtra's credit, after drying out, the receiver worked perfectly. It would probably be worth it to include dry out instructions in the user manual. 2nd opportunity for improvement: Not surprisingly, after 2 years, the battery in the receiver collar needs to be replaced. Again, no instructions or even mention in the user manual that this is common and expected and that replacement batteries are available on the website.
