It's rare that I get impressed with a company's customer service, better yet it is hard to expect that from a credit card company but Discover's customer service has been interestingly excellent.
Wish you guys great success.

Never had any issues with them, they are the best in the field
I read a lot of negative feedback below and couldn't help but chime in that I had only the BEST experience with them in the few years that I use them.
They compare very nicely to the other banks and credit card providers that I've come across. The US-based customer service, immediate response, very user-friendly account interface, great for traveling abroad since they don't charge FX fees.

I was a good cardholder and I too had…
I was a good cardholder and I too had my account closed without warning. I have other better credit cards so it is their loss, yet it does hurt my credit temporarily with credit age and available credit. Crappy company if you ask me. I guess if you don’t owe them money they don’t want you. Pity.

Discover it credit card. Worst ever
Applied for discover as my first credit card and got approved immediately. Started using it the day I recieved. Within a week they put a hold on my account saying that they need to verify my account. Alright, i did send them the copy of my license, social and a form SSA-89 which needed to be filled and sign. After everything, i just recieved an email today saying that my account has been closed since since they couldn't verify my identity. Are you kidding me? This just destroyed my credit score. Very unreliable.. non professional people. I wish I had listen to everyone that told me not to get this credit card. Never ever going to go back to discover ever.

Literally the worst experience
Literally the worst experience. Frustrating. I no longer trust this company after the application process I just completed. Not worth the hassle. Find another bank to work with!

DECEPTIVE and MISLEADING
Six months ago, I became unemployed for only a few weeks. Since I had NEVER missed a credit card payment with Discover, I decided to call in to see if they had a program that would assist me through my unemployed process. The representative "recommended" the unemployment program that allows them to charge you just a little "interest" each month and you must also agree to pay their set amount towards your credit card bill each month. Also, you have to agree that your account would be suspended for SIX months with no available credit. This sounded real good, so I agreed so I wouldn't miss a payment and fall behind through my unemployment process. I made every single payment, sometimes above the amount due, which was 130.00. To my surprise, when the SIX month was up, and every payment was made on time, I called to see what my available credit would be and when the hold would be taken off my account, and I was shocked when the representative informed me that my account would continue to be suspended and I would not have any available credit until the account is reviewed. When I asked when it would be reviewed, I was informed only ONCE a month. This is NOT what the representative informed me when I signed up for the program. I had no clue that my account would continue to be suspended. If that was the case, I never would have signed up OR agreed to the program. I feel that the program is DECEPTIVE and MISLEADING to cardholders. This is the Christmas season and I thought sure that after meeting all of my obligations that I would have instant access to my available credit. I am extremely disappointed in Discover and how I was misled. I DO NOT recommend this program to anyone UNLESS you're going to be unemployed for MONTHS! I will never agree to ANY of their programs in the future and I will also stop using my credit card from Discover for a while and just use it for emergency purposes only. Enough to keep it active. They were Misleading, DECEPTIVE and spread MISINFORMATION!!! I feel like I am being PUNISHED for being unemployed for just a few weeks.

Bill Collector Harrassment Due To Mistaken Identity - Never Apologized
Discover was my first credit card, and I was a fan. One day I stated getting calls from a bill collector, threatening to tow my truck and other threats. This was annoying, obviously, but also amusing because I had never missed a single payment. So I would tell the collector things like "go ahead", and his reaction was very confused. Well, we finally established that it was a case of mistaken identity. I wrote Discover about this - they were the ones who sent the bill collector - and they never acknowledged it, let alone apologized. They are just a big corporation that does not care about their customers at all.

Privacy Violation and Shady Policies
This creditor is violating your privacy if you try to apply for credit. They are asking applicants to upload front & back of their DL and a copy of their social security card. The DL is ok but my social security card? No way, especially since data breaches are happening more frequently. So because I did not feel it was wise to provide a copy of my SS Card and did not complete the application, they left the application in limbo. They should not have done a hard pull of my credit file especially if I did not submit the application successfully.
