My husband applied for a discover credit card not long ago, started to use less than a month, then got hacked, some guy spent more than $4000 on our credit card, we didn't know until one day I checked our account balance. They investigated very slowly, and finally informed us the finished the investigation, when I checked the balance, found out they only took off a few bucks off our account! Then we have called them many times, eventually they cleared all the fraudulent transactions. I will never use discover again!!! Bad choice!

I was sent an offer to apply for a Discover Card. I applied. I then recieved a frantic series of messages, emails, missed calls etc that Discover Card wanted more information.Despite this it was not easy getting hold of Discover Card and when I eventually managed to do so the "agent" was disinterested. She eventually admitted that they'd decided against issueing the card to me. I asked why and she indicated that the information was incomplete, I offered more information but she wasn't interested. But now I get offers to apply to to Discover Card every second week. Why would anyone apply when differenet parts of the company want to do different things? One part wants you to apply, another wants information and the employees of another are apathetic and indifferent.

I bought some camera merchandise. The seller promised a 9 hour battery over the telephone but did not invoice the product. I was charged an extra $100 and received nothing for my money. I sent emails to seller to document my problem. My complaint with discover was rejected 3 times in a row even with my emails showing I was promised a battery. They would not believe me unless seller had created something in writing that proved fraud. An impossible burden for a credit card holder. I will not use my discover card again for any high dollar transactions. They do not cover their customers like American Express and Visa.
