DON'T make a large payment during pandemic
If your credit won't be there for you when you need it most, then what is the point in having it; credit from Discover won't be there when you need it. I have a discover card, it has a fairly high credit limit, and I have never paid late. When COVID-19 hit, I didn't ask Discover for any assistance. Instead, I made a large payment to reduce my balance and give my credit score a boost. Discover immediately (same day) responded by lowering my credit limit by the amount of my payment, causing my credit score to drop. When most credit cards are assisting customers during the pandemic, Discover is harming theirs. In reading reviews here, I see they've done the same thing to many of their customers. I have a long financial future ahead of me and I'll remember how great banks like BofA, Wells Fargo, and Amex have been during the pandemic, and I'll remember how awful Discover was. DON'T make a large payment on your card during the pandemic, or Discover will lower your credit limit accordingly.
