I first did a chat with a customer service rep (Lacy) the a while later a gentleman called went over all my options got me a great deal and I signed up could not have asked for a better experience. I have been with Dish Network since the first started. To get set up with them at the time it cost around 1500.00. On 8/1/2014 I had called Dish to see about getting 2 more TV's hooked up and they wanted to charge me more than I was willing to pay. I finally figured out it does not pay to be a long term customer with dish last time I needed my receiver updated they made me have another 2 year year agreement and I had already been with them around 15 years. Nothing with them was every hey you have been a great customer let us help you!!!

Sign up process, including internet and telephone, wasted 5 hours and 15 minutes total of my time. The people you have involved in the process do not seem to be trained very well. In their stating of total costs, very little is understandable except the initial, base price. After this point everyone talks so fast that nothing is clear. I stopped each person over 12 times to clarify a cost and I'm still not perfectly clear on my costs except for the first 3 months and that is unimportant compared to the balance of the contract. This is a wasteful, costly, irritating and useless process. Unless this changes, I will not refer anyone I know because I would be embarrassed. If it gets any worse, I will actively refer friends to any other service. I see a box below to let Direct tv know about the review, none for ATT. They must not care either? regards roy price

I was hard on them over the phone, yet the sales rep kept me interested in signing up. And with deals they were offering me, how could I say no! Great customer service! I recommend Direct TV over Comcast any day. There is no comparison. Direct TV stands out as the best TV provider over all the other competitors.

After going to the DirecTV website to look around I ended up using their "chat" option to ask a couple of questions which after 5 minutes of back and forth advanced to a call form the rep to answer my questions over the phone. And I had a bunch of questions. I ended up signing up for a DirecTV and Century Link package. I found the process on the whole to be very efficient and it was clear that while professional and pretty polished the rep was working from a script. And while I can't say this is the case with all the reps but while it became apparent when I entered the "closing" part of their script for lack of a better word as questions were discussed and "what day do you want to install" became the focus. My suggestion would be that rather than responding to my question with information and then going back to which day do you want to install ask "did I answer that question for you?" and/or "is there anything else with respect to ..... that you had questions on?" I have every reason to believe I made the right choice and I wasn't pushed into purchasing the service (could have hung up at any time) this looks to be a very good product and will give me more than Time Warner Cable does for almost 50% less I would have felt even better about the ordering process with a little less ABC - always be closing - at the end since the product (including pricing and promotions) sells itself!

I haven't felt so pressured and put upon since I tried to buy a used car. The pressure put on me from Direct TV's sales rep was unprofessional and pushy. I ended taking things on my direct tv account that I didn't want. When they come and try to install, I almost hope it doesn't work.

The girl who helped me was super nice and she very professional. I think she needs a raise!!

The first person I spoke to lied about half the stuff she told me. I had to keep asking the same question over and over to get the truth. For instance: she said they would take care of everything and I wouldn't have to speak to my current provider to cancel my service, then I asked again and she said yes do not worry we take care of all that for you then after two minutes she said "well of course you have to call them and cancel of course" and with an attitude. And then she lied about the internet speed, I used to have Verizon "highspeed" for three years and I've had comcast for almost 5 years, Verizon it's not even close as fast ... It's not my fault they don't have FiOS in my area ... maybe you should fix that before attacking people! The call was so long it lasted almost an hour ( 56 minutes and 33 seconds to be exact) and half of that time I was on hold listening to that annoying music. Also, the guy who scheduled the phone and internet installation never told me to hang up so I kept waiting and waiting on the phone until I asked if it was okay to hang up (because the previous lady had told me to wait for them). I'm already regretting signing up. I remembered why I switched to COMCAST in the first place. The directTV offer is supposed to be $24.99 but my email said it will be $49.99 so you guys should watch out. NOBODY LIKES FAKE ADVERTISEMENT! If I don't get the deal I WILL CALL BACK AND COMPLAIN!1 p.s: I've gotten like 7 emails (yes seven!) and 3 voice mails in the last 24 hours from you guys with the same message ... NOBODY LIKES SPAM! CAN'T YOU SUM UP WHATEVER IT is YOU HAVE TO SAY IN ONE EMAIL? NOBODY HAS TIME FOR ALL THAT.

I don't watch much TV. I requested two tasks from this company; PBS and my local Cleveland Indians games on Sports Time Ohio. The salesman Damien said these were no problem. He pressured me into the sale saying that he was Direct TV corporate and not a third party, that he needed my personal (SS# and CC#) information before he could go on to get accurate price quotes, and I gave him all of my information. He promised the PBS and The STO channels as well as my first DVR so that I could occasionally record kids programming (I don't miss baseball games). All at a price lower than the supplier I already had. After the satellite dish was hooked up I found that my contract did not include a DVR, and if I wanted my ball games I needed to upgrade my package at "X" dollars a month more to get a huge package of a bunch of sports channels I'll never watch, and one that I'll watch for half a year. Completely ridiculous. My TV bill is now higher than my cable bill as a result. I will be sure to never do business with them again, and disparage their reputation whenever and to whomever I can. I feel that their representative bait and switched me and was purposely fraudulent. It's not the money, it's the principal at how I was played. This company, DirectVdeals, should not be supported by Direct TV. Run, run away from them. Go to Direct TV directly and always get it in writing before you commit!
