Our install Tech "Al" did a great job. Super clean install of the dish. He took the time to install the drop between the exterior wall and the interior wall... no exposed cabling visible. He took the time to ensure we had all our questions answered even though we were his last appointment of the day (12 hour day for him). I offered him a tip, but he wouldn't accept it... said it was a pleasure. All hardware professionally installed, and cleaned up his work areas; you'd never know he was there. Great picture quality beats our former U-verse quality by a stretch. I used chat the next day and had my question answered quickly. So far (one day in) very impressed with Directv; and saving about $60 per month to boot.

Smooth and transparent

We had an outstanding customer service rep. named Ben. He was so very patient with me and all my questions and his explanations were very easy to understand. He also had a smile in his voice and really seemed to enjoy his job. He really was the deciding factor in our completing the order today. Also, our installer, Mike (promo code 48552) was exceptional as well. He was here before we even finished with Ben. We are so satisfied with our entire Direct TV experience today that we will be telling all our friends. Your people raised the bar in customer service today! Thank you.

I came to look around but she made me stay and sign a contract. Customer service at its best.

I ordered DIrectTV's Choice package about a year ago. The rep at the Costco where I signed up was great and convincing. Pricing was great and very competitive. My complaint is after the first year my bill literally doubled! I knew my discounts would drop off after the first year but the Choice package pricing also increased substantially without notice. The rep I spoke to on the phone said that in the fine print of the contract I signed, DirectTV could increase pricing on programming without notice, something they fail to mention when signing a contract! I am now stuck with DirectTV for another year and cannot wait till my contract is up and go with Verizon FIOS as my provider. At least I know what i will be paying for the duration of the contract! The second year of the contract is definitely not competitive with other providers.

The people I talked to were very nice, helpful, answered all of my questions, and acted in a professional manner.
