We used Destination Weddings to plan our nuptials in Cancun and would HIGHLY recommend. Cathy Byrnes was our planning specialist and she was absolutely incredible. Planning a destination wedding during a pandemic, amidst constantly changing travel restrictions, airlines cancelling and changing flight itinerary etc is no easy task. We can’t imagine how overwhelming it would have been to try and support all of friends and family with booking their trip without Cathy’s professional help. Cathy is an excellent communicator, very prompt on email responses and was exceptional in helping guests that had special travel requests. For our wedding she dealt with Canadian, American and European guests and was able make everyone’s travel arrangements easy and seamless. She also acted as a great conduit between us and the hotel and assisted us greatly with communicating with our wedding planner, at the Grand Palladium resort. One of our guests had issues at check in (no reservation in the hotel system) and called Cathy, very late in the evening, and Cathy immediately resolved the situation with the hotel. She became a very trusted point of contact for us and our guests and we owe her a lot of gratitude for playing a huge role in helping us pull off our dream wedding in mexico becoming a reality. If you are considering a larger group destination wedding, you are in great hands with Cathy Byrnes!

An awesome experience, everything that I expected and then some. No regrets here. Can’t wait to go back to Jamaica.

This company is horrible!!! Christal Hughes has poor customer service skills, she originally told me my room type was sold out. (2) weeks later she charged my card without contacting me so see if I was still interested in booking.

Brenda Potts was excellent she handled all of my needs and did her best to make sure my guest were accommodated when we had to suddenly switch hotels due to the no kid policy but she did an awesome job will be using them again

I paid for a Ocean Front room at the Playa Del Carmen in Mexico through wedding destination for a wedding that took place on Dec 10 2021. Playa Del Carmen switched there resort to adult only. Because there were children coming, Our agent switched us to another Resort.The resort apparently was out of the room I paid for they said they upgraded my husband and I. In this upgrade we got a Ocean View two beds and a black band (VIP). This black band allowed us to go into a special room which had CERTAIN liquors and food and a pool table. One My husband and I are Christians we don't drink nor party. Two, It was just him and I what we needed with 2 beds. I notified the agent. She said she was going to try to get us another room and forward my complaints to Destination Weddings. It is January 16 still have'nt heard anything. I didn't care about nothing else but a Ocean Front View that I paid for. If I had paid for. In regards to your response I see no where I can respond. My problem was I PAID for an Ocean FRONT I received Ocean VIEW it has nothing to do with beddings.

This company is the worst! If you want to book a terrible venue at hiked up prices, I would recommend this company only. They offered us all a discount which we never saw and the customer service is terrible!!! Colleen Shepard is the worst agent to work with and scammed all of us out of money! Their customer relations dept doesn’t do anything…pointless dept really.

This is a complaint and a review! Josephine Varrati! I have never experienced anything like this before. I am very disappointed with this company and how you allowed Jospehine to drop the ball! not just on our hotel but also transportation. But thats not the beginning! It started with the original booking! She charged my card multiple time days after I told her on what day to charge my card. Than she emailed the bride instead of emailing me. Days before the wedding, I emailed her to inform her that I need to change my reservations on my travel voucher and hotel stay. Why did she just not contact me 3 days after i left her a voicemail and 9 days after I emailed her!!!And when I told her that voicemail was 3 days old, her reply was "ok and!" Very unprofessional! Very sloppy! Not dependable and should not be apart of this company! You should of seen the hotel lobby!!!!! 9 guest had issues with their booking! Our entire reservation was cancelled when we arrived to the hotel! Than the room she reserved for us was not what we paid for! Than the transpation from the hotel did not have our name! she had to call Lomas and go thru a process to get travel vouchers resent! This trip was suppose to be a very lovely meanable weekend! We spent 3 hours at the airport trying to get to the hotel! We then spent 4 hours at customer service desk at the hotel on saturday, 2 hours on sunday and 5 hours on monday! the entire weekend Jospehine did not answer calls! straight to voicemail all weekend from all the other families also! I will also contact impressions to file my complaint and review! because this is not acceptable for people thats traveling outside of the USA

In my own experience, I was fortunate enough to collaborate with Teresa Macdonald; she was very professional in that she took the time to listen to any concerns I had and did her very best to remedy the situation. Additionally, Teresa had a calming, nurturing approach, which was quite helpful in easing the mind of an anxiety-ridden bride. I would absolutely recommend Destinationweddings.com to any bride whose ultimate goal is to plan a stress-free, dream destination wedding or any group event.
