I've had web servers with various companies over the last 15+ years and Dedicated is the best. I've been a customer for 2 years and the support and quality of service is excellent. Support is polite and helpful, my server is hardly ever down, and ample warning is given for scheduled maintenance that may affect my server.

The last failure left us offline for 53 hours, which is unpresentable for a service that is contracted to have continuity in the systems. The support limited itself to saying that we applied our contingency plan and that they depended on fire department to reactivate the service. Everything unpresentable, of the greatest irresponsibility. They sent a technical report of what happened a week later and with a mediocre explanation. It shows that they are not interested in good service but only charging. I am very dissatisfied with this service and we feel highly insecure with the system. A few days ago we tried to request a new server to migrate the current one and update, but it was not possible either because they do not have the machines that are needed or do not understand the requirement or are not interested in doing so.

I would like to begin by offering our sincerest apologies for the recent service disruption you experienced, and for any frustration it caused you. We understand the critical nature of the services we provide and deeply regret the inconvenience you faced due to the outage.
The outage you mentioned was, unfortunately, the result of a fire that occurred in a separate part of our data center facility. This unforeseen event impacted not only Dedicated.com but also several other providers within the data center. The fire incident had a ripple effect that was beyond our control and affected multiple services, which is why our usual level of service continuity was disrupted.
We understand the importance of transparency during such incidents, and we made every effort to keep our customers informed through frequent and detailed updates. While we acknowledge that the outage duration was far from ideal, please be assured that our team was working around the clock to address the situation and restore services as soon as it was safe to do so.
Regarding your concerns about our support response, I'm sorry that you felt the explanation and support provided were inadequate. We take full responsibility for any shortcomings in our communication and support during this challenging time. Rest assured, we have taken your feedback to heart and will strive to improve both our communication and the support experience for our customers.
The technical report you received was aimed at providing a comprehensive overview of the incident, its causes, and the actions taken to mitigate the impact. However, we understand that our explanation might not have met your expectations, and we apologize for any confusion or dissatisfaction it caused.
Regarding your attempt to request a new server for migration and update, I apologize for the difficulties you encountered. We are committed to addressing your requirements promptly and effectively. Please understand that our supply of certain server configurations might have been affected by the recent incident, which could explain the limitations you encountered. We are constantly working to optimize our inventory and understand your needs better.
Your feedback is invaluable to us as we strive to enhance our services and ensure that incidents like these do not repeat. We take your concerns about security and system stability seriously, and we will continue to invest in improving these aspects.
Once again, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and disappointment you experienced. If you would be open to it, I would personally like to assist you with your server migration and upgrade requirements. Please feel free to reach out to me directly at [email protected], and I will ensure that your needs are met effectively.
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with us. We genuinely value your partnership and hope for an opportunity to regain your trust and provide you with the high-quality service you deserve.

Bad service, bad attitude.
I'm in the process of scaling out my infrastructure to support the release of my product so I ordered an extra server in Chicago. The point of scaling out is to build up two Nomad clusters, one in Dallas and one in Atlanta for HA/redundancy.
Due to technical issues on your end in Chicago, the OS install kept getting stuck at 20%. I opened a ticket and Damian replied and said there was an outage and they were working on it. Okay, I get it.
The outage page he forwarded me said it should be back up within an hour. An hour went by, two hours, three hours... the whole day. I came back the next morning, still down and one 13 hour old notice apologizing for the delay. Remember, I'm needing these additional servers for fault tolerance.
Anxious to get my servers online so I can start testing, I looked into it more the night before and saw that there were two servers, slightly better than the one in Chicago so more expensive, and there was one available in each datacenter where my other two servers already were. So I purchased those and started the OS installs and replied to the ticket to ask for a refund for the Chicago server I was never able to access.
The next morning, I came back to find that one of them had booted up and was ready but the other one hadn't so I tried restarting it a few times and navigating through the site trying to figure out how to access it another way. Nothing worked. Same as the one in Chicago only this time it would get stuck at 60%.
I got a reply to my ticket later saying it was against the TOS to refund but I could get a credit. Okay? I mean, I was never even able to log into it because of the outage on your end but thanks for not making me pay for something you never gave me? Whatever, no big deal. I was polite and said thank you and explained the other issue with the server in Dallas.
Damian replies later and says "some have raid cards" or something to that effect implying that they were configured differently. This is another red flag. I don't want to have to deal with different server configurations in my CM tools and end up with a bunch of frankenservers and one-offs. I'm definitely not starting out that way. So I asked if it could be moved to a different box so they were the same and he said there were none left as "it shows on the front page".
At this point, I'm not only frustrated with the lack of progress I've made in the last two days and disappointed that my first attempt at scaling out my solid well organized fault tolerant plan that's been in the works for the last two years is off to such a rocky start, now I'm dealing with one of your support tech's attitude as well.
So I decided to cancel the two servers, one of which again, I was never able to log in to, and made sure they were cancelled immediately to free them up for someone else and politely asked for credit for them.
Damian comes back and gives me the "okay but this is the last time" speech.
Just so we're clear. I didn't just waste the last two days trying to restart OS installs and suddenly change my mind because I thought it would be fun. I backed out of those purchasing those servers from you out of lack of trust and satisfaction with your services. I wasn't even able to access them.
Now Damian seems to think this was all somehow my fault and I need to be taught a lesson and be careful about the rules of the TOS in the future. And I'm considering whether or not I want to continue doing business with you at all.

Hello Donnie,
I want to begin by expressing our sincere apologies for the frustrations and difficulties you encountered during your recent experience with our services. We truly understand how important it is for you to have a smooth and reliable infrastructure, especially when you are in the process of scaling out your infrastructure for your product release.
It's disheartening to learn about the technical issues you faced during the OS install process, causing significant delays in accessing your servers.
Furthermore, I apologize for the confusion and lack of assistance you received when you tried to switch to other available servers in different data centers. Our support team should have been more proactive in understanding your specific requirements and assisting you with a seamless transition.
I would like to address your concerns about the server configurations. We understand the importance of consistent server setups for efficient management, and we take responsibility for any oversight on our part in explaining the differences between the servers. Your feedback will be used to improve our communications with customers and ensure that such issues are transparently addressed in the future.
Regarding the matter of a refund versus credit, I apologize for any misunderstanding. We want to make things right for you, and while we do offer credit as an option, we also understand your preference for a refund due to the inability to access the servers. Rest assured, we will review our policies and procedures to ensure better clarity and flexibility in handling such situations moving forward.
As for the interaction with our support representative, Damian, we are genuinely sorry for the perception of attitude and the "last time" remark. That was never our intention. We value each and every customer, and our support team is trained to be empathetic, understanding, and helpful in all interactions. We will conduct further internal training to improve the overall customer service experience.
Please know that we take your feedback very seriously, and we want to assure you that we are committed to making the necessary changes to address the issues you faced. Your trust and satisfaction are paramount to us, and we hope to have the opportunity to regain your confidence in our services.
If you are open to it, I would like to personally discuss your concerns and assist in resolving the situation to your satisfaction. Please feel free to reach out to me directly at [email protected].
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We genuinely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us grow and improve as a company. We sincerely hope to have the chance to restore your trust and provide you with the exceptional service that we pride ourselves on.
Best regards,

we collocate 4 servers across 2 of there sites. Customer service is excellent, price is very reasonable, had the odd blip, but neither in my opinion were directly the result of dedicated.com's actions or lack of knowledge, there comms during these blips was very good, which is all you can ask during incidents. The control panel synergyCP is very good also and a nice addition to the colo service compared to iDRAC being open to the entire web like with other colo facilities we have used. Connectivity is good and all in I cant really say anything negative. Would recommend for colocation all day long.
