I'm honestly very surprised at the negative reviews I just read. I've had bad acne since I was around 12 or 13 and I'm almost 30 now. This is the very 1st product I've used that had actually worked for me! And i have tried EVERYTHING. I use to wake up with white head every single morning and throughout the day. Cystic acne that hurt to touch or just openkng my mouth to eat. And i also had dry patches. I could never do my make up because it never set righy and without make up you can see so much redness and the acne of course. I haven't had any issues since I've started using Curology. It's a little expensive but it's worth the price for me. I pay just over $100 every 60 days which isn't bad. My face is always clear, it's smooth and no more redness or dryness. When I look at my before and after pictures, I can't believe my eyes with how much my skin has changed! You don't need a lot of product to wash your face. I think other people use to much and that's why I see that they run out before their next shipment. If I could give Curology 10 stars, I would. I will definitely be a long time subscriber.

Dishonest Scam
I have so much to say about this company- but let’s start with this: every influencer is lying. Company is ridiculous & there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE.
They have repeatedly taken my $$$ including charging for sales tax where this state does not have one…. And not sent me ANYTHING.
Total SCAM. How much are they investing in advertising to have NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT OR REFUND POLICY when they take your $$$ and send nothing???
Horrible, dishonest business.

Bottles are too small
Product seems to be helping but every time it’s due for re-payment. I run out before the item comes. This time I even paid days before it was due so it will be sent early and I’m still out & waiting for the formula. The bottles need to be bigger.

No refund policy is bs they increased the price from 40 a bottle to 60 a bottle. This is crazy since curology has made no difference in my skin as i cancelled and stopped using if anything my skin has improved. I have a bottle of curology just sitting in my room now because they dont accept refunds even though I've been a customer for almost 2 years. What a waste of money and what a greedy company.

It will take weeks and weeks for a medical professional to respond! Sometimes they will not process your shipments. You constantly have to keep messaging them over and over again. But their customer service is great at responding and answering questions. If you’re a medical provider, you should always respond to your customers if you care for them. Especially online, they don’t have to deal with people in person.

Worked for me
I thought it was another scam but took my chance because other face washes weren’t working for my type of skin. They help me find the right formula for my skin type. Helped to reduce the problem areas on my face.
I feel more confident and wear less makeup. Does help!

Pass on this
I was trying to think of at least one thing that I like about this subscription service, but sadly I can’t even think of one. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars on Curology’s custom skincare, and while it has done WONDERS for my skin, the service itself is such a rip off.
User Experience:
For starters, I can’t figure out for the life of me why this telehealth service doesn’t have an app. That in itself, on top of the fact that their website is one of the least intuitive websites I’ve ever come across, really makes Curology a subpar service. Second, the provider feedback that you get after your initial evaluation is nothing more than one canned response after another.
Costs:
Aside from the tretinoin, you can get way stronger concentrations of the other ingredients in your formula, for way cheaper, OTC (I.e., niacinamide, azelaic acid, etc.). I finally had it after they increased the price of my custom formula by $20, literally, overnight. I just went to my PCP today and was able to get 5x the amount (assuming that the ingredient ratio in my formula was 1:1:1 - so approx. 9g tretinoin:9g azelaic acid:9g niacinamide in a 26g bottle) of tretinoin and azelaic acid for just $20 total (using my insurance)! My new azelaic acid rx is also 3x stronger than what Curology was able to provide. For the niacinamide in my formula, I was just able to pick up a $6 bottle of it made by The Ordinary from Ulta (also at a stronger concentration + zinc).
Note: I do have really good insurance, and some insurances won’t cover tretinoin, so the price of a tretinoin rx from your PCP or derm may be more expensive. Still, you can get at least 2-3x the amount of tretinoin for half the price ($30) or 5x the amount for the same price ($60) w/o insurance via a GoodRx coupon.
Quantity:
Overall, what I got from my PCP and OTC should last me at least 3 months, if not 6 months, whereas the stuff from Curology only ever lasted me 1.5 months max.
Another thing that I noticed is that Curology puts false expiration dates on their rx skincare. The tretinoin that I’d get from them always had an expiration date that was just 3 months after the fill date, which I immediately recognized as odd since most prescriptions are good for 1 year. I checked the tretinoin that was prescribed by my PCP and it’s good for 14 months, which is just another example of how Curology rips you off by getting you to spend more money.
Convenience:
One of the biggest hindrances to this service is how long it takes to complete their skincare consultation. I get it - they have to cover all bases since they’re prescribing people a very potent topical medication. But, the amount of time you spend completing their consultation (30 mins - 1 hr), could be used for a much more personal and streamlined visit with your PCP/derm (or even a virtual face-to-face appointment) instead. Additionally, their shipping times are long (at least 1 week) and inconsistent, so it’s impossible to time your shipments so that you never run out unless you order 2 bottles at a time (however - remember that their formulas come w/ a “shelf life” of just 3 months, so you run the risk of your formula “expiring” before you get to use it if you stock up ahead of time).
Lastly, know, too, that if you do a free trial with this company, you’ll automatically become ineligible for a free trial with Agency (since they’re owned by the same company) despite the fact that Agency cost $20 more a month and contains different active ingredients.
Overall:
Unless you like wasting money and don’t care about convenience and receiving quality care, skip this service. Seriously, save your money and just get the rx topicals (tretinoin, azelaic acid, hydroquinone) that they prescribe from your PCP or derm!
