CouchsurfingReviews of couchsurfing.com

They ask you to pay a monthly amount before even being able to see how it works or if it worth. Absolute robbery.

After hosting over 10 guest in 2 months. I was promised user verification for 3 months, suddenly 2 weeks later I was asked to pay for my verification. I contact support to find out there was nothing they could do. A year later, I log in to see my profile is being held for ransome! I can't even enter my profile to delete the images. Surely this is not legal. If they had asked us properly I'm sure they would have gottten more funding.

I paid to connect to my profile. Payment has become compulsory for everyone! But now they accuse me of having created a fake profile and have not even given me a refund. this is unacceptable. "This profile does not appear to be a valid profile. Your profile has been deactivated, as it is against our Terms of Use for members to create false profiles." This is not a fake profile, please give me my money back !

I made the account because I’m broke, I have no where to stay while trying to find a job. So I went to them as a last resort. I have no money that’s why I’m couch surfing and it’s the same for many others. The fact that I made an account just to get locked on a screen telling me I have to pay to use the website when I was recommended this for my exact situation is completely unreasonable.

Possible payment scam. Paid the annual fee, was then being shown the same ´Make payment´ page. Logged out. Logged in again. Same page appeared. Checked my mailbox. A message from my bank, saying they had noticed a suspect payment, and advised me to check. The bank advised me to cancel payment and to block my card. Great. Couchsurfing facebook page: I did not find any way to contact them. Couchsurfing page: Too complicated a menu to get through to them. Most importantly: I did not see any menu item about payment issues.

A company with security issues which doesn't care about the community that has created around it.

The Couchsurfing did an unlawful act against all of the members the fact Couchsurfing didn't even warn or consult members locking our accounts without our consent as well as oblige us to pay them money, it is against our rights and against law. You CS are bloody greedy, beggar and mendicant. Couchsurfing was sold to a greedy corporation a long ago. Which makes at least $15, $25 million dollars a year just from ads. Beside that a lot of member pay for verified membership which Couchsurfing partially privatised the community many years ago obliged to people to pay to get easy access to it and restricted none verified members. Along the way CS has riched to how to manipulate the peoples psychology and get easy money from them in fact it actually cheated people all along. Please do not pay Couchsurfing any money we can create a free new hosting side we are not depend on the bloody corporates like CS they are depend on us. Do not contribute leave CS
