Very long shipping time for me in Canada

The problem was a lack of transparency at checkout about the possibility of duties. Getting charged $140 CAD at my doorstep was a surprise and frustrating. What if I didn't have money at this time? Considering the current economy, it's likely a customer may not have budgeted for the surprise cost? Yes, it is stated in Cool Frames' policy, but I have ordered from Cool Frames before and don't remember paying duties. I would have much preferred paying shipping at checkout. Or the choice to continue purchasing if I didn't like the shipping price. Cool Frames has been around long enough and has a Canadian website where an estimate of duties is possible. If I could get a refund for the lenses, I would have told UPS to return them. The product is excellent, which is exactly what I was expecting. The glasses fit great, and I really like them. Would I order from Cool Frames again? Probably not. I would put more effort into looking for a Canadian company that ships out of Canada. Or, at the very least, put a notice on their checkout.

My glasses were perfect. Would have been nice if there was a warning at checkout about the possibility of paying duty. My duty and additional tax ended up being an additional $99.00.

Dont buy it! bouth something that the website shows the item in stock and was never shipped when i asked them they told me that was back oreder, i request to cancel the purchse because it was a gist and was not going to arrive on time, they charged me a $20 for cancelling something that they could not ship.

Good customer support, order followed to a T.

My new glasses are great, I was struggling to find this style elsewhere but found exactly what I was looking for here. I recommend this site if you’re after something very specific as they have a vast catalogue.

They owe me money and are refusing to deal with the matter. UPDATED: December 10th, 2024: Moments after I posted a negative review describing my experience with the company, its owner, Lee, reached out for a conversation. Lee, was understanding of my frustration and did what I felt, was the right thing to do. Any additional charges which I unnecessarily paid, and return shipping costs, were both refunded. I was in need of another set of glasses and Lee helped me through the process from front to back. Admittedly, I was initially upset, however, I feel much happier with this result.
