After a frustrating experience working with Edgepark, my insurance agent steered me to Comfort Medical. Athena, the customer service person, was very knowledgeable, and I really appreciated all of her help.

They got my first order right the first time. And I like that I talk to the same person ever time.

I was surprised to receive an invoice form Comfort Medical the end of June. My husband had 3 emergency surgeries and ended up with an Ileostomy. After struggling to find supplies that worked I stumbled upon Comfort Medical on line. I explained my issues and the person on the phone was helpful and said they would bill the insurance company and send supplies right away. (We had not been billed for supplies when my husband had visiting nursing as the insurance paid it all.) I called to question the bill and explain that my husband is going to have a reconnective surgery and would no longer need supplies. I asked if I could return unopened supplies I was told they do not accept them after 30 days and they suggested I donate them. Seriously? We did not even get a bill for 90 days. Their representative took it upon themselves to make up my order for 90 days and billed my insurance company. They said they would “take care of everything”. I have a 21 boxes of stuff that he never used. Does someone really use 10 bottles of powder in 90 days? Beware their shady practices. We are at our most vulnerable trying to figure out how to take care of his medical issues and I feel we were taken advantage of. Now they want me to pay over $400 for the extra supplies so I can “donate” them. Also…the invoice does not show a per cost for each item. I have no way of knowing how much they are actually charging.

I like being notified about different stages of the ordering and delivery process. I would like to get emailed to confirm my order and what was ordered, notified when the order is sent to the doctor, notified when the doctors order is received, notified when the order is shipped. A customer service rep explained to me that if I don't hear from them that it means there are no problems. That is not true always and when it is not true it can cause more problems. It is easy to have your computers send out automatic emails at each stage of the process to give peace of mind to your customers.
