I would strongly encourage anyone considering this moving company to proceed with caution. If I could leave zero stars I would. Before booking, I provided the booking agent with detailed information about the move, including descriptions of three large bedrooms packed floor-to-ceiling with boxes and an itemized furniture list, I also expressed to him that I had just had a very disappointing experience with another moving company the day before. He seemed very sympathetic to my situation and assured me that this is not how his company operates and that I would be in good hands. He even asked me to write down his “direct line” and call him on the day of the move with any questions or concerns. However, when the movers arrived on pickup day, I was informed that the shipment would require dramatically more space than previously estimated and that the cost would increase by thousands of dollars. Of course the booking agent was nowhere to be found, and I was actually told by a customer service rep that I was "not allowed" to speak with him. Because I was coordinating the move for elderly individuals on a fixed budget, these last-minute increases made the move financially impossible and I had to cancel. When I requested a refund of the deposit after canceling, the company declined to provide one. The initially quoted price bore very little resemblance to the amount ultimately demanded on moving day. I cannot and will not recommend this moving company. Consumers be warned! If you should decide to use this company, please carefully review all documents, understand the cancellation terms, and be prepared for the possibility of significant price increases after booking!

I dealt with Jim at Coastal movers and at no time was I informed that they subcontract the move out to other companies. The company they chose for my move was Rapid Express who has multiple complaints from others. Increase the cost of the move at every corner, have no regard for your belongings and show up with not enough help to unload the truck risking the lives of family members who step in to unload. And offer no compensation for that risk or the loss of belongings. Make sure to ask if the move will be subcontracted out and with whom before committing.

the worst movers i wouldn’t trust them ever they subcontracted with another mover and LOST one one my most important family heirloom the lost and can’t find a CUSTOM AMERICAN FLAG made by a marine wouldn’t ever trust them
