I've been an active participant on this site for over two years and was somehow given a 1 star rating after they calibrated their rating system. They used some kind of AI model to rate participants and have not been transparent about how participants are rated. I had a 98% approval rating from reaearchers, never used AI in my responses and still I was given this rating with metrics that are clear as mud. They are really screwing over users who have been providing researchers quality data.

Completely unethical…
Completely unethical—researchers and workers should go elsewhere.
I have been using Connect for awhile as a way to make extra cash to buy things for my kids and help pay bills. I have never had a rejected survey, and have worked hard and honestly. Seemingly overnight I went from having access to surveys daily to absolutely nothing. With no explanation or reasoning I have now lost my extra income source. Don’t trust them.

Absolutely the worst come out with a new rating system and hurt a lot of people from taking surveys. I was very honest with all my surveys. I had 1500 accepted reviews with 11 rejects and thats not bad. My score went to 443 and 1 star. What a stupid company this is now. F-...

Terrible implementation of new quality measures
I had previously been happy with my experience taking part until a couple of days ago.
I have 442 approved submissions and only one rejection and overnight I was dropped to 1 star on the new quality scale.
I have never used AI and diligently took part in studies I was accepted onto. There is blatantly a problem with this new quality measuring but their support team do not care.
I sent an email and was told I could build it back up in the future and that they would not provide further information or reply to any further emails. Great way to treat longstanding participants. It’s also laughable that the advice is to complete more studies to increase your score when you won’t receive any due to the low score.
The platform is going to lose people in their droves and I too am leaving.

Unethical Platform
Is this how you treat people who have been providing quality data for you for years To suddenly bring them from 5 star to 1 rating without any valid explanations

Been a member since 2022 roughly when the site began. 5 stars before their new ridiculous rating system. I do not lie or use a VPN or any AI ever. It's only a side side side gig for me so I had 1200ish approved and 3 rejected so 99.7 approval rating.
One star overnight.
First it was "Returns and time outs count," then they ran around scrubbing the graphics for that because penalizing people for voluntarily withdrawing from studies is unethical and violates most IRB terms as I understand it...yet no one's score changed when the cutesy graphics vanished.
Then it was, "You failed some secret internal quality check but we can't tell you why or how." Okay, then maybe your rejection/approval system is trash since mine looks great but I'm one starred?
Then: "Approvals count more than anything!"
I had pending tasks after the rollout approve and my score went DOWN.
Whatever CRC thinks they are accomplishing here, I strongly advise nobody else waste any time on their platform or with their gaslighting nonsense. Including researchers. I suspect they are using AI text detectors, thereby penalizing people who don't type like third graders, and then bragging about their "state of the art fraud detection" to make themselves look "more profitable" on paper and attempt to sell the company but that's only a guess.
At any rate, I'm done.

Both Participants & Researchers Should Avoid This Company
After 3 years of giving good solid data to many research projects, and having a perfect 5 star 850 rating with zero rejections and positive feedback from researchers, I was downgraded to 1 star with restricted access to any new studies (which means, no studies available to me at all). In effect, a black-listing ban with no explanation. This is an extremely unethical company who then went on their subreddit and lied to all participants about their new system. Part of this new system is to penalize participants who return a study for any reason, whether that be a technical issue or the participant discovers they are not the right fit that the researcher is aiming for, or anything in between. This single factor alone compromises many researcher's projects according to the standard rule set by their IRB (internal review board) that participants in research must be allowed to exit a study without penalization. Therefore, if you've gotten your research done through Cloud Research, your studies are now invalidated. Cloud Research has been documented for back tracking on this specific point by removing it from their graphic that participants see on their rating score, likely from fear of legal retaliation, but it is obviously a metric that has been used to penalize many participants and many will testify that the screenshots of this unethical action are legitimate.
So, this warning is not only for participants, but for researchers too. Using Cloud Research Connect is not only a waste of time for participants, it is a waste of money for researchers. I will not be surprised to see a class action lawsuit filed against this company.

I was a 5 star 850 scored participant…
I was a 5 star 850 scored participant for 3 years. 2000 projects approved, 2 rejections ever due to faulty researchers. Then cloud connect rolls out their brilliant new rating system, and puts me (and many others as you can tell) at one star with basically no explanation and all I got from emailing them was "cry about it we're not doing anything" basically, to sum it up. Extremely rude behavior to participants who put so much effort into their work on this site for years. Researchers please look for somewhere else to put your work through.
