Avoid This Platform. I signed up and was accepted onto this platform, but before I could even complete a single study, my account was suddenly restricted. I have never done a single study on this platform — not one — so there was absolutely no activity or behavior on my part that could justify this. I contacted their support team to find out what happened and to get the restriction lifted, but my efforts were completely in vain. No proper explanation, no resolution — just silence and a locked account. This company is a scam. They accept you, then restrict your account for no reason, and their support is useless when you try to fix it. I have been using Cloud Research Connect for over 4 years and up until a few months ago, would have given them 5 stars. However, they have implemented a new rating system that restricted my account overnight with no explanation. I was in perfect standing (5 stars, 850 score) with over 6000 approved submissions and not a single rejection and overnight I dropped to 1 star /449 for no reason. I was shocked and I can't get an answer as to what's going on. I have always been polite when messaging researchers and have never used AI to complete studies. I have always taken studies seriously because I understand the importance of the research that these universities are running on here. I have tried using Cloud's contact form 3 times in the last couple of months asking for a review of my account and I have received zero response. I just want to know how I can be considered such a terrible participant when I have never received a rejection in over 6000 studies completed? It doesn't make sense and having seemingly no way to appeal the decision or even just get in contact with them is incredibly frustrating.

My first review was removed for who knows why, maybe cloudresearch.com got it removed? In any case do not bother with these people. If you take surveys and for some reason they don't like it, they just basically shadow ban you and never explain why.

this is 2nd time that I have had an account with them. The first time was for 1 1/2 years and was dropped from a 5 star to a 1 star with a reason except our program did it and we don't know why. So I waited awhile and opened a new account and have had it for 6 weeks, was rated 5 star and made $350 which is great. Today I went into my account and I have been downgraded to a 1 star and restricted status with no explanation as to why. BEWARE

This used to be a good company. Unfortunately, they recently rolled out a new AI system that does not work and randomly kicks people off. As a result, while the individual surveys (may) pay more it has become the same kind of survey site as any other.

I was very excited to join the service earlier this year. Then, like many others, within the past several weeks I lost hundreds of Quality Score points. I sent support an email asking about this. Like many others, I was ghosted. I did good work for the company and now they won't let me participate in their projects.

Shady rating tactics. You can have no rejects and somehow your rating will be low. They are definitely trying to filter out the old.

One of the big problems with the new AI Sentry system is that it dings your score for returns. They claim that it doesn't, but I have tested this multiple times. Returns lower your score, period. This directly goes against research standards and is very unethical of CRC. Also be aware that your comments added about why you returned a study will be forwarded to the researcher whether you check the box to share it or not. So if you write something highly critical in that box, the researcher will see it and possibly provide negative feedback on you, which also lowers your score. I thought this new system would be an improvement, but it's not. I was also hoping this would attract AI annotation researchers, but nope. If anything there are more garbage studies paying under platform minimums and fewer studies available even when you have "preferred" status. Hopefully it will get better, but as of now this a not good for participants.
